Former Aberdeen and Motherwell boss McGhee recently left his role as a consultant for English League Two side Barnet. And the 60-year-old revealed he has no real desire to be a boss again. He admitted: “I think my dugout days may be over. I’m not out looking for a manager’s job. I haven’t reached that 1,000-games target but I’ve got 900-odd and that’s an achievement, certainly more than most, so I’ll not lose sleep over that. I’m doing lots of other things, I’ve made myself more of a consultant. I was doing a bit at Barnet. I brought in a manager which hasn’t worked out but they have a poor squad there.”
This guy must have an ego the size of a bus. Who the hell would consult this loser on anything to do with football. Liked the last line on his interview hasn’t worked out but they have a poor squad there the reason he was brought in by Barnett was to improve the poor squad.
He is just another guy who struck it lucky in the management stakes and has been found out. There are a lot of them going around at the moment.
