Hence the gazillion variations of defensive line ups in our team. As I said in another thread, we will have to wait till the end of the season, but I think its not going to be pretty. capitalsharpie Posted February 25, 2008 Share Posted February 25, 2008 So, what is basically being said is that we have employed a manager for a further three years who is capable of making a team perform up to a certain level, but once a higher level is demanded, (ie Europe and all that brings, such as strain on a squad through injuries or whatever) then he has no clue how to deliver. I must admit on reflection, his deals in the January transfer window now seem to smack of desparation- "Lets get in any old donkey who happens to be available on the cheap to plug up the gargantuan holes in the defence until the end of the season!!"
