Beginning to wonder who was in charge of security for this tournament

Russia will be disqualified from Euro 2016 if there is further crowd trouble at their remaining matches.

Uefa, European football's governing body, has given Russia a suspended disqualification and a 150,000 euro (£119,000) fine for disorder at the game against England in Marseille.

Russia were also charged for fan racism and lighting fireworks at the match.

Groups of Russia fans are being deported from France after repeated scenes of violence at Euro 2016.

The suspended disqualification and fine relate only to incidents that happened inside the stadium.

The decision is open to appeal, but Russian sports minister Vitaly Mutko indicated that would not happen.

Mukto, who is also president of the Russian Football Union, said the country will comply with Uefa's "excessive" decision, adding: "What other position can there be?"

French police blamed 150 "well-trained" Russian hooligans for clashes before England drew 1-1 with Russia on Saturday.

Six England fans were jailed on Monday for their roles in the disorder.

Over three days of disorder in Marseille, 35 people were injured - most of them England fans - and a total of 20 people were arrested.

Further trouble between England and Russia fans is anticipated given that both set to gather in Lille this week.

Russia play Slovakia in the city on Wednesday, while England fans will gather there ahead of Thursday's match against Wales in the nearby town of Lens.

French authorities have pledged to increase security in Lens by deploying 2,400 police, gendarmes, security guards and a riot squad.

Drinking alcohol in the streets has also been banned.

But Greg Dyke, chairman of the English Football Association, has expressed "serious concerns" about security in neighbouring Lille.

The British government has already said will send more British police officers trained in football disorder to France ahead of the match.

Russia has been in trouble with Uefa in the past.

It was handed a six-point deduction, suspended for three and a half years, after supporters behaved badly during Euro 2012.

A country on a high state of terror alert and folk can walk into a stadium with fire crackers and flares?  Very disturbing IMHO.

To be fair, they were only checking the brown-faced people.

Sad but probably true.

Austria - Hungary, sounds like a country ;) Hungary just took the lead and Dragovic got sent off for a clumsy second yellow. From what i've seen, much like their empire, Austria looked the stronger of the two but that sending off has changed everything.

Good performance from Iceland last night.  Ronaldo shows himself to be a classless prick as usual.

I did laugh at this though:

https://www.eveningexpress.co.uk/fp/aberdeen-fc/former-dons-defender-kari-arnason-labels-portugals-ronaldo-sore-loser/

Former Aberdeen defender Kari Arnason today slated Portugal’s three time Balon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo as a ‘sore loser’ who ‘fannies about and dives around’.

Good performance from Arneson last night. Always thought he was a class centre half. Very lazy centre midfielder who spent too much time holding onto the ball, but would welcome him back in place of Taylor. Clearly likes the dons.

A few of us went to see Leyton Orient - Rotherham a few years back and sung him his song after the game, he absolutely loved it!

Milsom on the other hand, shat it.  ;D

Mcginniesta scores for ni. On yourself son

Brilliant stuff. He played well when he was on, but it is absolutely clear that NI's tactics don't really suit him, hence his time on the bench.

Germany - Poland has been a massive let down. Thought that could have been a cracker.

I've actually left the pub, it was so poor and dull.

Chuffed to bits for McGinn, was happy with his performance. Shame he doesn't get more game time. Josher did well with the original assist too.

Be interested to see if Lafferty is recalled for the Germany game. Still have no idea why anyone rates him

Well he did pretty much get the goals to get them there. I don't rate him either but he did the job for them.  David Healy was on 5live this morning saying he thought based on this tournament so far he shouldn't be playing. O'Neil only made the call yesterday morning, fair play to him, worked out a treat!

Is that the first Aberdeen player to score at a finals since strachan in 86?

Edit.

Strachan wasn't even an don then.

Think he's the first Don to score?

Mad final 15 minutes of the Croatia - Czech game, czechs looked completely out of it but managed to get a draw after scoring a last minute penalty. Croatia are gonna get a serious fine for their fans though. Chucked about 10 flares onto the pitch, fought amongst themselves and then chucked a fire cracker onto the pitch which a steward stupidly tried to pick up, it obviously blew up in his hand.

What, ever?  Can anyone confirm or repute this?

It was fucked up Manc.  I was pleased to not notice any hassle at the germany poland game, that had powderkeg written all over it!

I read that on twitter and haven't been bothered to check! So it's definitely not certain.

Interesting reasons behind the Croat crowd trouble.

I've got tickets for Portugal vs Hungary. Hopefully no trouble there!

Bilic said as much after the game. Considering he was the Croatian manager it would seem that he should have some idea of it all. Changes the perception of everything though. Yes they were scum bags that did it, but clearly, they did it for the right reasons. What better way to try and force their hand?
