The Senate Judiciary Committee voted 6-2 Monday to endorse a controversial bill that would allow Arizona employers the right to deny health insurance coverage for contraceptives based on religious objections.

 

Arizona House Bill 2625, authored by Majority Whip Debbie Lesko, R-Glendale, would permit employers to ask their employees for proof of medical prescription if they seek contraceptives for non-reproductive purposes, such as hormone control or acne treatment.

 

“I believe we live in America. We don’t live in the  Soviet Union,” Lesko said. “So, government should not be telling the organizations or mom and pop employers to do something against their moral beliefs.”

 

Lesko said this bill responds to a contraceptive mandate in the federal Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act signed into law March 2010.

 

“My whole legislation is about our First Amendment rights and freedom of religion,” Lesko said. “All my bill does is that an employer can opt out of the mandate if they have any religious objections.”

Rick Santorum wants to put an end to the distribution of pornography in the United States.

 

"America is suffering a pandemic of harm from pornography," Santorum's official website reads. "Pornography is toxic to marriages and relationships. It contributes to misogyny and violence against women. It is a contributing factor to prostitution and sex trafficking."

 

The former Pennsylvania senator states that, "as a parent, I am concerned about the widespread distribution of illegal obscene pornography and its profound effects on our culture."

 

Santorum criticized the Obama administration for turning "a blind eye ... to the scourge of pornography" and for refusing to enforce obscenity laws.

 

"If elected President, I will appoint an Attorney General who will do so," Santorum writes. "While the Obama Department of Justice seems to favor pornographers over children and families, that will change under a Santorum Administration."

According to someone on the internet (so it must be true): “Pay attention to the Guthrie kidnapping. It’s a giant cover up & it is directly connected to the Epstein files.”

45m25s he still can’t join the dots that Trump, who openly admits to walking into children’s changing rooms, has multiples accusations of sexual assault against him, openly admits to committing sexual assault & found responsible for a rape, isn’t involved in anything like that with Epstein. Instead, the man with zero morals is under a moral threat 🤣

This guy is one of the ones who actually took Donald Trump at his word that he was going to release the files. That was a bit silly

Prince Andrew and Lord Mandy couldn’t have predicted where they are at the moment.

I can’t see Donald doing any time for it but I think investigating the fact the DOJ removed files that say the President of the United States is a child molester, is probably worth pursuing. It’s definitely not a ‘waste of time’

I’ll say it again for the folk in the cheap seats up the back. If whatever is in those files can preemptively remove a title from a Prince, then have his own brother throw him out like shark chum to the police, then theres always hope.

Trump may well get away with it but theres plenty of people running defence for him just now that won’t.  
 

I fear for democracy. He's absolutely tanking in the polls. Everyone knows he's ultra dodgy but if he runs for the presidency again there's no doubt in my mind he'd stay in office.

It does seem an unlikely outcome though when such a large proportion of the population would rather make their own lives demonstrably worse in exchange for being allowed to openly hate other races, sexualities, genders, etc.

The mistake they’ve made is that they think that because they have wealth & power, that they must be quite clever. I have yet to see any evidence of that. 
The plan was clearly to keep Trump until JD. Vance is palatable to the people. That will never happen. He’s the most universally despised person in Washington. I guess the voters of the US aren’t ready to have politicians who wear guyliner (unlike the progressive woke folk of West Aberdeenshire & Kincardine)
