Motherwell vs Aberdeen, Round 2 - The SPL

So with probably a 1/3 of the support will our players put out the same level of performance?

Obviously Fyvie and maybe Jack out but Rae and maybe Hughes back so possibly even's itself out.

Well fans seem to be shitting it a bit. Lasley is banned and they have a bit of crisis in central defence with an u19 player getting his debut or Higdon filling in at the back.

Could we do the double? Probably asking too much, and this game means alot more to them than us.

Still should be a decent match.

Fuck me, lets hope the players at least turn up.

Any comments, predictions on the game?

Bet my scar is bigger than your scar.

I'm going for a draw too but secretly think we may do the double over them

If they have such injury worries as suggested then a draw is probable.

according to a Well fan on P&B:

Lasley has a 2 game ban for his red against Aberdeen so he misses the Dons and Killie and is still only a booking away from missing another game. Clancy and Hutchy suspended. Jennings, Hammell and Higdon are all a booking away from a suspension. Ojamaa already has 4 league bookings.

We could be in for a few hard weeks depending on when suspensions hit.

We obviously have a centre half crisis for this Aberdeen game with Craigan injured yesterday, if he is unable to play then Jonny Page is our only available centre half. Aberdeen's height gave us a problem on Sunday so it might be another difficult game.

I think Chris Humphrey has earned a start with Nicky Law moving infield to cover for Lasley. If Craigan doesn't make it I would stick in the best U19centre back we have rather than fanny about with Higdon/Jennings/Hateley or whoever else moving into the centre of defence.

Pretty much what I suspected having suffered a similar challenge with the same outcome.

Brown, McArdle, Reynolds, Considine, Robertson, Arnason, Clark, Jack, Vernon, Fallon, Rae.

Going by BBC text commentary Im a bit concerned as to what we are doing today

52:52 Effort from 25 yards by Kari Arnason. Jason Brown makes a comfortable save.

51:50 Corner taken by Tom Hateley from the right by-line played to the near post, Michael Higdon gives away a free kick for an unfair challenge on Andrew Considine. Free kick taken by Jason Brown.

Oot......Golfing

And it was the worst round of the year so far.

Lovely day, though ;)

So does anybody know if we wre shit/robbed or unlucky?

To be honest, this is the one match in Pa Broon's "Gimme Five" games that I am not fussed to lose. Sure I am a bit miffed that we've lost this game. But if it now means Motherwell are a step closer to overtaking the self-imploding Huns into 2nd place, then I'll accept this loss. First time I've ever smiled at a Dundee Utd win!!
