Tough game to watch.  They were easily the better side, created some great chances and it is still a bit of a mystery how they never scored.  Couple of brilliant stops from Langfield, and what looked like a couple off the line.  We on the other hand only really had a couple of chances and never really got to grips with the midfield.  Players looked knackered too and wonder if all these games on heavy pitches is catching up with them.  Positives are another clean sheet, a point from a game we should, and would usually, lose, and the continued resurgence of aluko who looked lively and Milson who continues to impress.  Also thought McArdle did well, although his distribution was terrible at times.

 

Top 6 is now nearly impossible I would have thought (on a side note how dull would the season be if we changed to 10 and got rid of the split? Hearts have Europe, OF the Title and Accies relegated, atleast we have the articificial competition for "Top 6"..anyway) so now to really focus on St Mirren in a weeks time.

 

Main positive from last night was the defence.  We look solid and hard to beat.  Some great tackles from McArdle, McNamee, and Vuja.  Langfield pulled off a couple of good saves too.

 

I was surprised to see Young replace Jack, I thought the game was crying out for someone like Pawlett to come on.  Their fullbacks looked very dodgy and susceptible to pace.

 

My motm would be Stevie Smith, I thought he was outstanding.  Solid in defence and always bombing forward to support Auko. He put in some decent crosses too.

Aluko was my MOTM. He was always trying to make things happen and he caused St. Johnstone problems. Considine had a great game too.
