Adebayo Akinfenwa

Adebayo Akinfenwa has confirmed his interest in moving to Aberdeen.

The 28-year-old frontman is out-of-contract at Northampton and has shunned the offer to remain at Sixfields.

The former Millwall and Swansea ace insists he is looking to return to a higher level, and admits a move to the SPL does appeal.

"Aberdeen are a big club," Akinfenwa told the Aberdeen Evening Express.

"I've got some good friends in Scotland and they tell me that.

"I am leaving Northampton to play at a higher level and all interest is welcome."

that looks like me when i play 7s

googled the boy

seems he is remembered for 3 things

1) Scoring a the winning goal in the 2006 LDV vans trophy final

2) Missing a penalty in the 2006 league one Play off final

3) Having a figure similar to Bobby Williamson and Gary Bollan in their final playing days

Yip, the pics I've seen so far make him seem a tad barrel shaped.

If he has a clue where the pokey is then he's bloody lightyears ahead of what we've got. If he has a scoring record we should bend over backwards to get him in ASAP.

17 Goals last season! How many did our combined strike "force" get ?
