2stars Posted Friday at 10:10 Report Posted Friday at 10:10 Burchnall staying until summer so he will be away as well you would imagine Quote
TheDonbytheDee Posted Friday at 11:19 Report Posted Friday at 11:19 I think we knew it had happened or was happening. Some of the vitriol aimed towards him was way OTT. Was a bawhair away from getting us to the cup final in 2024, whilst interim manager and gave us a respectable end to a shit season. Looked a broken man after the Dunfermline game, just like Jimmy T did too, towards the end. All the best Peter. 3 Quote

Yep, he’s stepped up & saved the day before, so its telling he couldn’t get a tune out of this shower of gutless losers, I know who I blame most anyway, & its not Leven. Turned down other jobs too while he’s been here, so while I think the time is right for him to go - for his good as much as us - as we need a complete reset at the club, he absolutely goes with my best wishes. I’m sure he’ll pick up a decent managerial or coaching gig soon enough… Edited Friday at 13:03 by The.Moog 2 Quote

The.Moog Posted Sunday at 01:55 Report Posted Sunday at 01:55 Nice touch. No doubts for me he cared, shame about most of his squad. Wish him all the best. He’s well off out of this shitshow anyway.. 2 Quote
manc_don Posted Sunday at 07:47 Report Posted Sunday at 07:47 Mixed feelings, very thankful he took on the role twice to get us out of the shit, and by all accounts sounded like he had a big role in the SC win. How much say he had over the final reign, who knows, but it wasn’t working and something needed to change unfortunately. Wish him all the best. 1 Quote

GASC1980 Posted 16 hours ago Report Posted 16 hours ago All the very best to him at Rotherham.. Quote
TheDonbytheDee Posted 14 hours ago Report Posted 14 hours ago Best of luck to him. Sounds like they are in a more perilous situation than we are. He might come back in the summer and sign Yengi from us. 2 Quote
manc_don Posted 9 hours ago Report Posted 9 hours ago Hope it works out for him. Not the first person from the dons to go there, arnason and Milsom if I remember correctly, possibly the same season? Then recently Tory Robertson played there for a while after leaving us? mind me and Jute singing dons songs to them after a game at Leyton Orient. The look of confusion and fear on their faces, then joy from arnason was amusing. Quote

swaddon Posted 5 hours ago Report Posted 5 hours ago Speaking of Rotherham and going off topic, I was at the pre season friendly there in 1997. Some of the Dons fans stripped one of their mates naked and were egging him on to do a streak. Even the stewards were telling him to go for it, but he didn't. 1 Quote

You never get streakers at games nowadays. They used to be a fairly regular feature at games once upon a time. Quote
