  • I'm very glad that I can watch the Dons most weeks and then switch off to all other football (Scotland aside). I do watch the occasional game on the telly (rarely a whole game), mainly the BBC Friday

Am I right in thinking that every single Premiership team has taken something from Pittodrie this season - except Hearts? Had they won at Pittodrie earlier in the season, they'd already be champi

Falkirk relegated

Delighted with this. See Ya Elvis you prick.

Apparently there's a real threat of them going bust as a result!

Oh my, what a shame. Never mind.

Whilst watching some of it on Saturday, I was faced with a very hard decision, who did I want to go down? luckily I thought it through and realised that Elvis was a big prick and I couldn't wait to see the end of him. :D

Not true.  They'll have to make cutbacks but they won't go bust.

Zola sacked

West Ham have announced they have sacked manager Gianfranco Zola after a traumatic season which nearly ended in relegation.

Zola, who took charge in September 2008, led the side to just seven home wins in a campaign disrupted by public criticism from the club's new co-owners David Sullivan and David Gold. They finished fourth from bottom, five points above Burnley.

The announcement was made following a meeting between Zola and the owners to discuss the club's future structure. The future of his assistant Steve Clarke is unclear.

Mark Hughes and Slaven Bilic have been linked with the vacancy.

A club statement said: "West Ham United can confirm that they have terminated the contract of Gianfranco Zola.

"The Board of Directors would like to thank him for his contribution and wish him well for the future. The club will now be focusing its efforts on seeking a replacement."

Harsh, but he was never going to last sadly. The owners really didn't seem to like him.

Not particularly harsh is it? West Ham have had an awful campaign this season.

True, but I wouldn't blame it all on the manager. The club was properly in turmoil for most of the season. They actually played decent football I thought and were quite unlucky at times to be where they were. Its just a shame because he appeared to be quite a genuine guy.

They should give the job to Steve Clarke

Aye, perhaps luck has also played it's part. The clubs finances were and probably still are a mess which is not his fault whatsoever and I don't think he really ever had the full backing of Gold/Sullivan, as can be seen as by putting in a bid for Dorrans. He steered them towards safety by the skin of their teeth but time to go their seperate ways. Yes, I think Zola is a nice and genuine guy who I have no doubt would receive a nice welcome at most grounds.

£70k a week for Kieron Dyer, whoever agreed that deal really needs their head checked.  Forever injured and not even that great when he's not. Has a head like Chewbacca.

Looking forward to Steve McLaren's first interview with his new German accent.

They WE should give the job to Steve Clarke

Been rumoured for a while now that MacPherson would be gone once the season ended.

No doubt he'll end up in the Championship/League 1

Anyone else watching Forest v the weegie holiday resort?

Looked like a decent game baggy. Shame about blackpool though. Can't believe they're on the verge of becoming a premier league club!

Aye plenty of goals. I think it would have been a different game if the defender that played Mr Potato Head onside hadn't convinced the lino he was offside ten minutes after the goal was scored though.

Whoever does go up will be going straight back down as the three of them are rank.

My bet is cardiff - cue a year of 'if a welsh team can do it then why not the OF?'

Thats pretty much why I want them to go up, the OF will greet all season about not being allowed in. I'd enjoy their misery tbh.

Ha ha fair point. I'd quite enjoy seeing the silver fox in the premier league. Is Cardiff's future dependent on whether they get promoted?

Edit:

Also meant to add, good luck to Fulham today.  Gutted I couldn't go along today.
