Having watched Everton and Motherwell tonight, we did amazingly well last year to reach the group stages.

so what would you call getting out the group stages and into the knock outs then? 

 

Luck apparently. 

Lucky was on our side but we got a deserved draw in Dnipro and a tremendous spanking of Copenhagen so we did what we needed to do. If only we played like the Copenhagen night regularly we'd win the league!

Didn't see Everton but I thought Motherwell were piss poor tonight. They defended very poorly (something we did very well in Europe last year) and looked devoid of ideas going forward. Their Calderwood-esque tactics towards the end were utterly comical. McGhee for manager ? Na, not that fussed really.

Some amazing European results but piss poor league form for well over a year now (except for a brief spell pre and post split when we shot up to 4th, mainly due to everyone elses total shitness)
