The.Moog Posted 12 hours ago Report Posted 12 hours ago Wins a win, and that’s all that matters, but that just wasn’t good. Killie the better team, good job they’re shite. All the old failings there again today, we just got all the luck - which I’ll take all day of course. Positives: Got the 3 points Even we can’t fuck it up from this position now surely. Good to see Knoester back. None of them did anything to lull anybody into thinking that team doesn’t need a complete overhaul from top to bottom. 3 points at Livi on Friday, then let’s never talk of this season again… Quote
RicoS321 Posted 11 hours ago Report Posted 11 hours ago Just back. Great win, and an okay performance. A lot of hard work and good aggression across the pitch. I don't think we've got a good squad, but that's the level of application we should expect. We dominated for the first 25 minutes, but a change of shape by them, and they began to play round us. I thought Aremu played well when we were on top, but either tired quickly or was just too slow to affect things, again getting beaten by simple one-twos. Armstrong, Cameron and Nisbet were linking nicely, and Olusanya was creating space by charging about and hopefully not getting the ball (he really is a terrible footballer). Jensen was doing really well at harassing his man, but his final ball was atrocious. Frame was decent but tired. Geiger was very good when he came on, and Shinnie was what we needed too. The back three were fine for the most part and Mitov had a couple of good saves. Not brilliant, but just what we needed. 1 Quote
TheDonbytheDee Posted 11 hours ago Report Posted 11 hours ago Just back Fuck that was cold. Display tifo thing before kick off was brilliant. I even took a picture on my phone. About the second one I have ever taken. Three points and a clean sheet. We're not finishing 11th, even if still mathematically possible. Olusanya does fine until given the ball. Never a football player, but brings us something. Feet up and roll on next season. Moog - Killie weren't the better team. We were the better team overall, but not by much. 1 Quote
Jormungandr Posted 11 hours ago Report Posted 11 hours ago Nae great but we've been much, much worse several times this season so I'll take it! Very relieved by last two results. Didn't see them coming. Quote

All about opinions, but bar the first 20 mins, I thought they were the better of two poor teams. They’ll be gutted they didn’t get anything there, but they just didn’t capitalise when they got some very good chances. 3 off the bar, plenty possession, winning most second balls as we just constantly gave it away time and again etc etc. Still, we won, so job done as said elsewhere… Edited 11 hours ago by The.Moog Quote
OrlandoDon Posted 9 hours ago Report Posted 9 hours ago Other than the first twenty and maybe the last 5-10, I thought killie were clearly the better team. They passed it and created, we struggled to keep the ball as we do most weeks. Still, win ugly, that’s all we need. first twenty our midfield pushed on and dictated, then they sat and stopped pressing and killie passed right through us quite a bit. Quote
Panda Posted 9 hours ago Report Posted 9 hours ago Think Robinson made the point post-match when he said it's about being hard to beat at the moment, which today we were. The standard of the squad is on a level with St Mirren, and therefore at our best we are basically St Mirren at their best. I don't expect us to be more dominant in games until next season. 1 Quote

We got ourselves in front early, taking the pressure off and left killie needing a goal and they had to change their approach. We did play some good fitba at times and although Killie had more possession, we were unlucky ourselves a few times. We kept our shape and worked hard and even just a few weeks ago, we would have lost a goal, panicked and likely to have went on to draw or even lose that game. Robinson has achieved his first goal and now it's up to him and the recruitment team to add a bit more quality for next season and ensure we don't have another shitshow of a season. 1 Quote
Radiored Posted 1 hour ago Report Posted 1 hour ago A win's a win, and a clean sheet's a clean sheet .... big YASSS on that. Only saw the second half .... it wisna great, so Ah'm nae gonna comment extensively. Morrison and Molloy did their jobs, Jensen also .... even though Ah recently declared him 'pish'. Dinna quite know what tae make o' Olusanya. Falls intae the category populated by the likes o' Duk, Karlsson and many others we've seen in terms of trying too hard to take on 3 opposition players rather than entertain the thought of passing to one of our own. In short - nae a team player. Agree he poses a threat .... but never a promise. But hey ... 2 wins and two clean sheets in a row! .... trivia question: how many times have we achieved that this season ... have we bettered it? Bettered either? Ach, mair cause for relief than celebration .... here's hopin we're on an onward an' upward trajectory at last. Quote
