St Mirren v Aberdeen

Back to business for the Dons this coming Saturday at 3 pm as Stephen Robinson goes back to Love Street or whatever it's called now with his Aberdeen side.

I can't see us winning away from home, so I fancy a 1-1 draw.

I’ll be there, as a 50th birthday treat. My wife asked if I wanted to go away for it. You could see the disappointment when I replied ‘yes, to Paisley’  It’s not a ground we do well at. I’d take

Never heard the argument that getting relegated is a good thing. It would be a huge negative and there’s no guarantee you come straight back up.

This one game will really show us what the players are about for this end of season run in.

If they can't motivate themselves for this one, after having a couple of free weeks with a new manager knowing full well what is at stake, then it doesn't bear thinking about.

You're never guaranteed to win a game of football as the gods of fate can be against you but as long as those 11 starters and subs that come on dig in, give it every ounce of their being then win lose or draw I'll be satisfied.

Anything less than 100% commitment, desire & work rate on show then it really will have us odds on for 11th spot.

Just glad to get it out the way, after the pointlessness of the international weekends, which are a pain in the arse for proper fitba.

A win would be ideal, but just avoid defeat.

Just need to win, any means necessary. Agree with THFN1983, it'll definitely show what sort of team we have. I'm just hoping that Robinson has worked some sort of miracle with the squad over the international break.

Having won there on our last visit I fully expect us to do the double.

Be interesting to see what reception Robinson gets. Probably a modern day legend there for the three top six finishes and League Cup win, but has left them at a difficult point of the season and could basically relegate them.

St Mirren fans appear to want some sort of rivalry with Aberdeen, so it should be a good laugh when we shitfest it and win with an Olusanya goal.

Here we go again.
I will be fkn amazed (and well relieved) if our lot have enough dig about them to go to Paisley and come back up the road with three points.

But hey at least now with this shower of charlatans I have learned to lower my expectations, hope for the best but plan and be prepared for the worst.
I have not seen anything from us to suggest we are capable of getting any sort of decent result from this game.
2-1 St Mirren and the shit we are already in will just continue to get deeper and thicker 💩💩💩

Doomed I tell ya doomed

I see Robinson has said everyone in the squad will get a chance to stake a first team place. Given there have been zero takers in the past two games I am not filled with any level of optimism that many positions will be filled by the end of the season.

Isn't that pretty much what we'd expect though, when your first eleven is largely pish? I can't think of a single player I'd want starting every week. Probably Nisbet and Mitov. Every other position on the pitch could be filled by any one of two players with little difference to the whole.

Maybe he can sneak them all into the starting 11 against St Mirren so we can have about a 12 man defence and hopefully keep a clean sheet.

Aye fucking right.

Would take a boring bastard of a nothing each right now

I have a horrible feeling that in trying to instil some fight into this motley crew of bed wetters, we’ll come out like men possessed and be down to 10 men inside 15 minutes. All aggression with no control or discipline. Aremu is my top candidate but could be Shinnie or Geiger. Yet another stinking chapter in the unadulterated shitshow we have descended into. 0-2 Dons. Yaassss. COYR.

Do we reckon the fans will get behind this lot and it’ll make a difference? God I hope so. I don’t buy into the idea relegation would be good for us.

It hasn't done Hearts any harm.

Mind you, the boy with the spreadsheet coming on board helped them a bit.

St. Mirren allocation sold out.

Think that's it. It didn't do them much good previously as they still got relegated again. Fortunate to land the spreadsheet man.

I've heard the 'regroup........clear out the deadwood....' arguments.

Absolute shite.

Exactly. There's no reason why we can't "regroup and clear out the dead wood" in the Premiership.

Also, winning the Scottish Cup and then getting relegated the following season is for diddy clubs.

Only an utter gluepot of an Aberdeen fan would want us relegated. Red John type fans.

As I have posted many times on here and abmad, that it is a beautiful and proud feeling keeping fannies, who support inferior teams, in their place when they try and rip the piss out of us.

Hearts might well win the league this season, and whilst I understand their fans will be rightly chuffed if they do it, we want to be able to remind them of their FIVE top flight relegations to bring them back down to earth with a bump and of course, even better if they do bottle it.

It's the bitterness that makes it all worthwhile.

I'm still confident we will avoid relegation, but we need to win some games.

As an aside and totally hypothetical.  Would anyone accept a relegation if it meant a top league title once we come back from it?

I wouldn't, but was asked the question, this week.

I wouldn't.

We've never been relegated. I would like to keep it that way.

‪Aye, the diets have some neck the way they go on given their previous “success”.

I’m 54, on top of the 5 relegations, they have won 3 trophies IN MY LIFETIME.

2 of those trophies they cheated to win with Romanov spending cash they didnt have, same as their big team.‬

‪So its really 1 trophy in over 60 years (lower leagues & Tennents 6’s dont count)‬

I do hope it stays that way this year as those cunts are insufferable enough…

Let them have their Tennents sixes, as we beat them on that count too.

Another stick to beat them with.

Funny, I don't see it on our honours list.

Mind you, big clubs don't have to pad out their honours lists with runners-up trophies and minor six-a-side tournaments.
