Vinius and the race card

It's all too easy isn't it. It's a rule that is wide open to abuse.

Same card was played by the Livingston player when he told totally lost the plot and started acting like an idiot with Jack Milne, who also acted like a idiot it must be said.

What has come of that inference / accusation by the way. Did Livingston make an official complaint regarding the racist abuse of one of their players or have they since went mysteriously silent on the issue?

I'm round enough as it is. That's probably down to my love of pies. I'm also a very happy man. That's down to my family. Thanks for your concern.

Interesting you didn't actually address the point I made or provide any insight into the question I posed.

You think it's easy for a black person to accuse someone of racism? Do you think it was easy for Logan? Did it look like it was easy for him? Did it look like it was easy for him to get booed by an entire stadium for making it known? Or would it have been much easier for him to be racially abused and kept quiet?

The bottom line is, you (nor I) have absolutely no idea what happened in Milne's situation. I've no idea who this thread is referring to either (some foreign pish no doubt), but I suspect that you've got no idea what happened in that situation either. You're choosing to believe the accused rather than the accuser. It suggests a lot about your pre conceived biases. Now, I could take that, and extrapolate that you're a racist, but that would be equally as ridiculous as the suggestions you appear to be making.

I'm a boomer so I wouldn't be surprised if by modern definitions some of the things I say would probably be considered racist.

I'm definitely not racist by the definition that's existed for most of my life and that's good enough for me.

The rush to believe the black players side of stories is telling. Virtue signalling at its worst. The player is a well known trouble maker and has history for it.

As for the Milne thing. I will always take an Aberdeen players side over an enemy until any alleged guilt is proven absolutely beyond doubt.

The question itself doesn’t merit a serious reply. You wont learn anything from it.

I asked if Livingston have actually lodged an official complaint against Jack Milne.

Pretty sure if I received a reply from someone who knows the answer I'd learn exactly what I wanted to know from it.

I hope you never get selected for jury duty

Been listed for it twice but luckily never had to actually serve. What a carry on especially if it's a trial that goes on for days.

May I ask what your concerns might be?

Certainly. Your brain isn’t wired up right for it

You're dancing around it. Just say what you want to.

I would actually suggest perhaps your not suited to jury duty as you've been very quick to rush to judgement in this topic.

Vini is an absolute walloper. That does not under any circumstances excuse anyone from racially abusing him. Book should be thrown at anyone who has racially abused him.

Jose didn’t come out of it well at all given the many OTT celebrations he has done on the past.

There shouldn’t be a topic. I was judging you before I even opened it & I wasn’t wrong.

We still don't know what was said and we probably never will so its foolish to condemn.

However let's say he did call him something that's deemed to be racist in modern society. I stand firmly by my belief that calling an opponent a "black b@stard" is no different to calling them an "ugly / bent / fat b@stard" delete as appropriate or you could even add your own adjectives as you see fit.

Verbals are verbals and they should all be treated exactly the same i.e. to be ignored when said inside the unique atmosphere of a football stadium.

This will absolutely blow your mind but it’s not ok to call someone any of those things. Doing so would see you fired from any job in the UK. Being on a football pitch does not insulate you from that.

It certainly doesn't help the boys case that he pulled his shirt over his mouth to say whatever it was he said.  Mbappe has weighed in as well “[Prestianni] called Vinícius a monkey five times, I saw it,” Mbappé said. “I cannot let things like this go. He’s a young player. How can you say things like that on a football pitch?".  Prestianni has denied it saying basically saying he has been misquoted but not actually said what the correction would be to.   In fairness I can't imagine it would be particularly easy to hear other players clearly on the pitch in such a noisy stadium so it's not impossible but all the other context around it makes me suspect there's probably something to it.

I had to do it a few years ago. Obviously I can't say what happened, but things turned out very unexpectedly.
