He was also the presenter of the very strange 1970s kids TV programme picture box, which has an amazing theme tune.

And the also slightly strange Hickory House. My sister was terrified of the talking cushion!

Must have been just before my time.

Just had a quick look on YouTube and I remember the intro but not much else. We used to watch it in the tv room at primary

Also remember champion the wonder horse, rocket man, that strange talking orange thing and the show with the conveyor belt at the start

Looking back on it, I suppose it was just so the teachers could get out for a smoke

Fuck sake one of my sporting heroes and younger than me.

RIP Scott Hastings and a member of the last Grand Slam winning Scotland team

Sad news. Sylvia’s mother just called to tell me this news.

Mike Galloway, former Hearts, Celtic and Scotland player. Away at just 60.

Judith Chalmers. Away aged 90.

For the youngsters, she was the presenter of the ITV programme, Wish You Were Here, for many a year.

Anthony Head, 72.

Probably most famous for the Nescafé Gold Blend adverts of the late 80s/early 90s, but he was in loads of other things.

I was watching something with him in in the other week, from the 70s.

Seemed a decent enough guy and yes, I would agree best known for the coffee adverts, but I am sure it won't be how he wants to be remembered.

RIP
