St mirren vs Dons 03/04/25

Another must win if we to achieve a chance of finishing 3rd. They obviously had a reasonable result against the huns on the weekend and have had better results at home than away of late, so should have plenty of confidence going into this. We also know Robinson despises us so I’m sure that’ll give him extra motivation.

Our season appears to have clicked back into gear at the right time, hopefully setting us up for a full of confidence finale. Hibs was a stern starting test but we’ve essentially got 4 more cup finals before the actual one, would be nice to finish as high up the table as possible. Hopefully Clarkson and palaversa continue their good form in the middle, would be nice if we could get two decent halves from the latter. Is he trying too hard?

Seen the goal that was chopped off on tv not convinced that is deliberate handball so goal should have stood and cannot see what ref saw on VAR that convinced him it was a clear and obvious error.

Clear and obvious - is that still in the definition of a var decision? No way it was clear and obvious today.

Our two "hard" players - Shinnie and Devlin - were both booked in the opening 25 minutes and were walking a tightrope after that.

Thing is, they aren’t hard players. And they are potentially the best ‘hard’ we’ve got, although I think tobers may be one. Wouldn’t call devlin anything more than a typical Scottish player, shinnie is a terror who gets stuck in, but not the hard bastard and presence of a Simpson, cooper, or Richardson in midfield. I’d compare shinnie to willo flood. Neither of our two have a physical presence.

Not with that attitude we won't.

I was making the point that the referee was throwing yellow cards about early for small fouls. Devlin specifically was very unlucky to be booked, so not sure stronger challenges or more physicality were going to help us.

Last time we won the cup in 1990, we lost 1-0 three weeks before the game...

Pricks.

Absolute embarrassments on our fine club. Hopefully they get found out and sent to Ibrox to live out their pitiful lives. Same crowd that wave the red “union” flag as well as stop the boats. Ignorant is doing the word a disservice.

Allocation sold out in a day.  Attendence fc fans are suitably seething.

Can be embarrassing going around Europe with AFC because this flag is usually prominently placed. :classic_rolleyes: And the apologists are going "It's nae political!". It clearly is and this bollocks belongs at Ibrox. And when folk do express their disdain they're greeted with threats of physical violence or more than just threats if one story from Rovaniemi is to be believed.
