BigAl Posted January 30 Share Posted January 30 Sad news this afternoon as the club have announced the passing of ex Aberdeen left back. Shewan was a no nonsense tough tackling defender that took no prisoners. I was fortunate enough to see him play for us a few times before he left the club in 1969 having made well over 200.first team appearances. scotfree Posted January 31 Share Posted January 31 Was friends with him on Facebook. The man was a gent and I had some great chats with him about his playing career. He told me that Jinky Johnstone was the best player he ever played against. I think he only missed One or Two games through injury in a time when football was a bit more "agricultural".
