  1. Im more addicted to vaping than i ever was to fags : :'(

nae good if im being honest, been off fags for years but the vape thing is never oot of my mooth. Feck knows what its doing to me, but guaranteed its nae extending my life by 20 years, i really should try and bin it, new year maybe ;D

  2. from what i saw Mclean was having a good game in the first half (As he did last Tuesday), then we made some mad subs and moved Jack into the middle, which completely stifled Mclean. Sub should have been Logan for Jack.

Maddison needs to learn when to pass, constantly beats two or three men then looses it

    Pawlett is still pretty shite

for me, Rooney is becoming too slow of thought and body. Shirley that ex ICT boy must be worth a shot sometime, if he's not then get rid

Considine & O'Connor -good, (in fact back 5 with Logan, Shinnie and Lewis are perfectly sound)

I left 20 mins into the second half, i was bored and going by the crowds, im nae the only one, as things stand im nae bothering on Tuesday

  3. Aye, I think so.

But would probably insist on a safe word

Saw her live a year or so back, some body and moves for her age, had her tits oot for most of the gig.

  4. I only see one in the Hospitality area. Coffee Shop seems to be the order of the day so the hipsters will be happy. Would prefer to see an Ashvale or a Sizzlers in its place

Think it was on the 1st floor, NE corner, behind the bit with the big screen

  5. was out at eat on the green two weeks back, thought it was good, a set menu but everything was fine.

i cant fault it, BUT i only went because i was given a voucher and if i'm being really honest i wouldn't want to pay that kind of money for a meal again, i've had just as good/better meals at easily half the price.

was in a tiny wee Italian place in sneckie the week before that, food was outstanding and for 3 courses (plus wee nibble things) and a litre of red it was only about 70 quid, recommend it if ever up that way, a booking is the best bet, think there was only about a dozen tables and it was rammed, they turned away heaps of folk while we were eating.

  6. Thailand, ao nang in july. Went to Koh samui off the east coast this year and loved it, so returning to the country, but the west coast, nae keen on repeat trips, can only get to the hotel by speed boat, should be fun if it's rough.

Seemingly got a big anniversary next December too, NYC was mentioned but if I get a choice I'd love to go to San Francisco. Although my daughter is just back this week from NY and she rekon the exchange rate now is killing it

  7. One of my favourite stadiums in the world for those very reasons.  Don't get me wrong, i'm not saying the Emirates is the be all and end all. Having stood on the lower tier it was awful and the views are pretty horrific but the atmosphere (or lack of it at most times) is down to the Arsenal fans.  Tynecastle is helped by the rake and the closeness of the fans to the pitch, something you don't see in modern stadia very often anymore.  Big shame imo.

I'm more criticizing the roof structure, but the rake down towards the pitch always helps.

aye, i was slightly off tangent on the shitness of the arsenal seating tiers, but it was the first thing i noticed on the pic  i always assumed the roof should slope down to keep noise/sweetie rustling in so i had a wee look to see what tynecastle was like, nae the sort of thing you really notice when there. The Arsenal roof looks like the first tier or two would get soaked in the rain, pointless.

our interior picture up top doesn't look right, looks like they've used a pittodrie pic and attached it to a computer graphic of the other 3 stands (which all look steeper)

  8. ;D

Ok, it's not a guess. It is basic. I (and TW), probably more than most look at these things.

Given what I can see, this is how that image will look like:

Some thing like this (albeit on a smaller scale obviously) is not hard to achieve. The structure is all contained, better materials and the rake on the roof is slopped towards the pitch which allows the atmosphere (on those rare occasions at the Emirates) to roll around the stadium.  It's much cleaner imo.

is Tynecastle roof not pretty much in a style to what is proposed for us? best ground i know for atmosphere. The arsenal stadium lower tier looks utter shite TBH, far to flat a rake for my tastes, worse than hampden, I assume they need that to be able to build such a large stadium without going to high.

Its growing on me, get a better idea later today hopefully, but as long as it has a big bar or 3, safe standing, steep stands and close to the park i'll be happy enough. (oh, and nae to overboard family friendly shite either)

  10. I read a book a year or so, about Alistair Urquhart, who was interned in a Japanese prisoner of war camp.

I was saddened to see that he past away at the age of 97.

He joined the Gordon Highlanders in Aberdeen at the start of the WW2. The experiences he went through were just shocking. He was only 10 miles away from Nagasaki when they dropped the bomb......

It's well worth a read. It's called " The forgotten Highlander"

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alistair_Urquhart

Aye, really good read, although fucking being one of his mates, they all got malkied pretty much, we had him at a function a couple of years back for a presentation.

  11. don't have a clue

although rather unfortunately the first i can properly remember is the 78 final, was there with my mum and dad, we were stood next to a deaf and dumb mannie with a big Aberdeen flag, strange what you remember, that lad had a profound effect to be honest, I just mind feeling really sorry for him

got a season ticket the next season and had it for the next 9 years before i moved abroad with work. still never got a ticket for the liverpool game, cunts.... :frown:

First game ever i'm told was a huns game in Germany, dad was in the Gordons and they would all go along to see Scottish  teams when they were playing,  ive never forgiven him for dragging me along.
