3. Latest ticket news: RDS, South Stand sections S,T,V all SOLD OUT for match v Killie tomorrow

he ticket office has been extremely busy today. WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT FANS BUY A TICKET IN ADVANCE OF THE GAME.

The simplest way to secure your seat is online at www.afc.co.uk/eTickets. This season, following feedback from supporters, we are pleased to confirm we have removed the £1 per ticket online fee and all transactions will now only be subject to a £1 processing fee.

Alternately you can phone the ticket office 01226 63 1903. Please be patient as the phone lines are busy.

If you are planning on buying a ticket after 1pm tomorrow, whether it be at the ticket office or at a cash turnstile, you will have to queue.

There will be limited seats available through the cash turnstiles.

    Latest Ticket News:

    RDS - sold out.

Main Stand - will be for sections A & F only. The 2 cash turnstiles will be 27 + 28

South Stand - will be for sections X & Y only. The 6 cash turnstiles will be 7 - 14 but only ticket for section Y will be on sale

Merkland Stand - seats still available. The cash turnstiles will be 21 + 22

  4. RDL sold out (and looks like it will be near to that most the season, certainly it is ALL TICKET for every match)

    In/oot: In

Prematcher: Due to a later train than normal probably straight to the ground

Match: New ST in the SS Section S. It better be good, they better let me stand and there better be an atmosphere (ha)

Postmatcher: Barely time to grab a carryoot before hoping onto the train

    Prediction: 3-0 Dons

    First Scorer: McGinn

  5. Cash gates for the Merkland and Main only.

RDS is all ticket and South is unavailable unless you have already bought a ticket.

Someone crashed in to the turnstiles and apparently there's only two that can be open. :hammer:

Wondered what the fuck was going on with the South Stand

Better have it fixed for next Saturday

  6. copied from p&b

Since they beat Videton of Hungary in 1989, the Hibs have played in 10 European ties and got through only once…against Dinaburg of Latvia in the Inter Tattie Cup (that doesn't count). Meanwhile the giants of FK Vetra, Dnipro, Odense, Elfsborg, Maribor and Malmo have all given them a bit of a doing.

  7. Hibs are and have been shite for years. Normally they have an inexplicabley good start to the season which saves them from utter disaster when their season falls to bits after Xmas. Doesn't look like that will happen this year and with no rat boy the only thing they seem to have to look forward to his fenlon getting punted, they may even give hearts a run for their money.

Great result for the Perth Fermers. Have Minsk or someone next so good chance to go further, and 8000 watching the game, hope some of them stick about for the season.

  8. Really??:

Edinburgh City Council said that it was safer to grant permission for the event instead of having an unofficial gathering in the capital.

The SDL had applied to the local authority to march down the Royal Mile to the Scottish Parliament on Saturday 17 August.

In recent years the presence of the SDL has sparked counter-protests from groups such as United Against Fascism.

The Royal Mile is typically packed with tourists and festival-goers throughout August and one city centre councillor describing the route as “madness”.

It is thought that SDL representatives agreed to reschedule earlier plans from August 24, which would have coincided with the Festival of Politics at Holyrood.

Councillor Joanna Mowat, who represents the city centre, said that she did not object to the march in principle, but that the route chosen was questionable.

“My view is, however objectionable they are, they are not an illegal group and it is easier to police them if you know where they are going to be”, she told The Scotsman.

“If the SDL came up to Edinburgh without permission we wouldn’t know where they are and it might cause trouble.

“However, the route is madness and I’m very concerned to hear it was approved. This will be very, very difficult route to police at that time of year so I find it astonishing.”

Councillor Gavin Barrie, convener of the city’s regulatory committee, which oversees public events, defended the decision and said that members of the group would be “subject to strict conditions”.

He said: “The Regulatory Committee has decided that it is in the interest of public safety to allow the Scottish Defence League’s procession to take place, subject to strict conditions.

“It was the view of the committee that a police controlled procession, rather than an unplanned, unofficial event would be less disruptive to the city. The committee’s decision to allow the procession in no way endorses the views of the SDL.”

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “We note the decision of the regulatory committee, and we will liaise with the City of Edinburgh Council and with organisers as part of our preparations for the policing operation, which will focus on keeping people safe.”

  9. It makes me sick to think what kind of nauseating platitudes most of the current Labour group will/would come out with.

On 23 June 1894, a future king was born. Keir Hardie, who had been elected as the first Independent Labour Member of Parliament, spoke in the Commons:

“From his childhood onwards this boy will be surrounded by sycophants and flatterers by the score – [cries of “Oh!,oh!] – and will be taught to believe himself as of a superior creation [cries of “Oh,oh!]. A line will be drawn between him and the people whom he is to be called upon some day to reign over. …and the end of it all will be that the country will be called upon to pay the bill. [Cries of Divide!]”

  10. Not sure you have much of a point there as Salmond plans to keep the Queen as head of state following independence.

Yup, although I would expect a referendum on the monarchy a few years down the line, that certainly ain't going to happen in the UK which seems to get more and more saturated with Royal and Military pish every year.
