  2. AFC is a business. How many other business do you see lowering their prices just now? Their overheads aren't decreasing, and tickets have been frozen for a couple of years. In fact, season tickets at Aberdeen are cheaper than a lot of other teams like Killie and Caley...and look at the bottom 6 fare they serve up.

Personally, I think having a special offer for existing season ticket holders is good. How many times do we hear complaints about how season ticket holders get no perks (cheaper tickets for cup games, etc)? Here it is.

  3. Bottom of the league yet still able to beat a team they'll be playing against next season, Aberdeen a team that wants top 6 SPl football yet failed to beat them, GREAT.

Sounds like Aberdeen circa 2000 except we didn't get relegated on a technicality. EIG!

  4. Be prepared to queue for Eiffel Tower - but the queues move a lot quicker than you might think.

If you are short on time when you are there I would recommend not going to Le Louvre unless you really want. When I was there I would rather have done some other things that day as it was such a beautiful day to be stuck inside.

Definitely try and get a boat trip done at the beginning of your trip too as it can give you a good idea of what places to go and where they are, and if you get the hop on/hop off one you can get off at places you want to.

When using the metro buy the books of 10 tickets too as it's cheaper and quicker than buying a ticket every time you use it.

  5. They've not even arrived in the post yet!

And i'm sure they take a £10 fee off for each refund? And when the tickets cost £6.10 each?

    :hammer:

    Fucking boooo!!

If you are wanting to exchange them they might do it...worth a try at least. They refunded a ticket for my folks last week the day after they'd initially bought it to sell them a cheaper ticket. It was kinda Scotrail's fault though in the first place so maybe that was why...

  6. Just watched it just now.  Very compelling and fairly disturbing (not unlike his documentary on the Hamiltons many years ago).

Looked to me like where the paedophiles were, was the best place for them.  As more than likely they'd get lynched if they were released, as their crimes were quite heinous.

Yeah I agree that it is probably the best place for them. I didn't like how they were so matter of fact when they said "I'm a child molester" and how they were so matter of fact about it - seemed like they didn't think they'd really done anything wrong, but I guess their matter of factness was down to the fact they had to talk about their crimes in their therapy.

  7. :lolabove:

Apparently he's not the only one ;)

Stewart, is that the game I think it is? When we all thought we would have a good chance at StIbrox and went with 1 or 2 at the back?

We went 2-4-4 when it was still 2-0 I think...

I'm sure David Sneddon was in Curlers that day. Was it 2005 though? I thought it was in first year at uni (so 2004).

  8. The new Louis Theroex show on BBC 2.

    Paedophilic "mental hospital"/prison.

Had to stop watching though because our aerial is fucked at the moment so will have to catch it on iPlayer. Looks good though!

It was a bit weird. I think it said only 13 people have been rehabilitated and integrated into the community in the last 10 years, and 70% of the people there won't participate in the therapy, so it's just an extension of prison.

  9. ...except, I don't think it does.

It's another way for the JMG mob to try and make out that those who aren't vociferously for the sacking of the manager somehow don't care about the club as much as them. Strange considering the number of the JMG mob who don't go to games and say they won't be back while Caldrwood is there... signs have shown that it is only the JMG mob that are apathetic, not everybody else.

They will never accept that some people, while maybe not happy, believe that steady progress in the current climate is perfectly acceptable and it what should be strived for.

I don't think "apathy rules"... what I do believe is that people are entitled to make up their own minds about how they support. I believe there are very few apathetic fans out there... even the fans that will show blind faith in the club are not apathetic.

Jager, your posts lately have been very sensible. Keep up the good work.
