Charlie Miller ......... NO!
http://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/Article.aspx/1512695/
"Former Rangers midfielder Charlie Miller, whom McGhee was keen to sign for Motherwell two seasons ago, has also come into consideration following the 33-year-old’s release from Australian side Brisbane Roar."

I think its a sensible approach by MM to say to players who are holding us to ransom to say- "ok, your reluctant to re-sign, well we have a list of players who will step in and fill your place. you are no loss to us Have fun with the Stoke reserves."

Smart arse. You've got an answer for bloody everything Tom! Okay then, this week's lotto results will be:

"Dons midfielders Sone Aluko and Fyvie are unlikely to be fit for this weekend’s trip to Ibrox to face Rangers."

Cove is part of the city of Aberdeen, end of debate.
Personally I do not feel that it matters where in Aberdeen the stadium is located as long as we deliver on the pitch. I actually think that a brand new stadium, if the correct design is chosen, and the fans consulted in the correct manner will be rather spectacular, and even more so with a team producing the goods.
The possibility of attracting better players when better facilities are offered will become a little easier, other than offering them to train on a public park.
Aberdeen FC have in their hands a opportunity to have one of the best stadiums in Scotland if not the UK or Europe. Let's hope they don't fuck it up.
Pittodrie is finished and we should deal with, support the new stadium development.

Michael Watt. Total fucking bombscare of a keeper, he performed many howlers during his AFC career but the one that sticks out the most in my mind is from a game at Tynecastle. He miskicked a back pass which hit his own post leaving Stevie Frail to poke the ball into an empty net.
The same Michael Watt that shit himself at Ibrox when Mark "Hun" Hately knocked him over?

Modern football = large arenas in accessible, spacious, suburban zones.
Get past your small minded, myopic and parochial attitudes about rolling out of the pub and crawling down Merkland Road to the 'fitba'. Its a modern game with modern demands. Like it or not (and for the record I do not) this is going to be the future for Aberdeens stadium.
Well said!!
PS - Cove is NOT full of Weegies!

I was actually reading the article on the BBC where Killie state that they are struggling to cope financially, however they would like to keep Kevin.
On the other hand Kevin stated that if an offer were to come in for him, could Killie refuse?
So to answer your question, TSR, it would be a bit of both.

SFA Youth Cup 3rd Round Result
Aberdeen 1
Megginson pen 87
Rangers 2
Hutton 9, Wiktorski 18
Aberdeen has produced some great comebacks in the Scottish Youth Cup in the past at Pittodrie but sadly today the Dons fell just a little short despite a grandstand finish.
The Dons fell behind after nine minutes when Hutton lost his marker and bulleted a header home from a Rangers corner. Worse was to follow as Wiktorski with a good finish made it 2-0 nine minutes later. It was the worst possible start for the young Dons who looked shell shocked at this stage.
The Dons, who had Pawlett, Fyvie and Clark missing were limited in their chances during the first period Low has had a couple of decent shots, albeit from distance.
Aberdeen improved dramatically after the break and started to dominate the proceedings. Despite creating several good chances, they couldn't make the breakthrough. Then four minutes from the end substitute Grimmer was taken down inside the area by Adam after he had failed to deal with a Low drive. Megginson converted the spot kick despite Adam getting a touch on it. This set up a grandstand finish and Aberdeen threw everything at Rangers, but couldn't find that second goal. The ball would just not break for them in the box.

I'll plump for a win for the Dandies (0-1 half time and 2-1 full time) but it will be a tense, scrappy affair.

Not sure if I would call them rejects as that is a bit harsh.
Most likely that they have found their level in professional football.
I went to see Cove v Peterhead last night (5-1 Peterhead) and i thought that Donald and Biscuit played very well. Saying that I always thought that they (in particular) would go on to bigger things with the Dons but alas it was not to be. Some good saves from Bateman also.

as reported in the P&J this morning.
I know they have professional choices to make, but reputedly he was going to be one of the highest paid players at todders. Coming from relative obscurity at Celtic & Wolves to getting a game every week, and even being considered for Scotland and refusing the chance of long term stability at one of Scotlands top clubs in very uncertain times really pisses me off.
These f*ckers really don't know when they are on to a good thing do they?
Aberdeen v Hamilton
in Aberdeen Football Club
Posted
Wasn't that bad really until Hamilton scored the opener, then we were all over the shop.
Eventually managed to get it back to 1-1, although the goal was nothing special.
Hamilton carved us open like a Christmas Turkey for the winner.
Would not single out any player as a shining light as they were all pish!
