  1. I don’t frequent DT as much as I used to, or as much as I’d like to - I honestly find the constant negativity towards the manager, and the club in general, draining and boring. Maybe it’s because I’m old. Donstalk used to be THE place for well informed, balanced afc debate. And it’s nice to see some of my old favourites are still here, Kow, Big Al, Manc, to name a few.....but the build up to this match and even the posts during the first half are like torture for an upbeat, optimistic, (and handsome) dandy like me. Posters on here are criticising the manager for talking up the opposition, but I find the berating of our own players and staff in this thread far more damaging and insulting.

    I’m definitely not gloating.

  2. Just read the last two pages. Don’t know why some of you fuckers bother with it at all.

Well deserved, hard fought point against (as Derek McInnes rightly said) a VERY good hun team. Fans who bothered to go along responded brilliantly once the lads got back into the game and showed their character. Bonus point.

Roll on Saturday lunchtime so the negative rhetoric and DMC bashing can start all over again once he names his team.  ::)

  3. So much negativity. ‘Streets ahead’ ffs - can we skip the big hun love-in until after Wednesday please? It’s not like we’ve never come good against the odds before.

    Several nightcaps to celebrate

I absolutely detest the bastards, and hope we inflict the first blow of a very damaging week for Gerrard.

    Let’s do this!  :AFC2:

  4. One thing is certain. Mark them down for an away win at Pittodrie if the cheat is playing. He can score goals and would be an even better asset for them if he can be educated but I reckon his character is too far gone. He's just a lowlife piece of scum and therefore a perfect match for the integrity-void that is Sevco.

Agree he’s a total scumbag, but also a very effective tool (pun intended) to have at their disposal. We need to adopt a different approach to the Morelos problem next week - especially knowing how trigger happy the refs are bound to be with the cards on that occasion. We can beat them though.

  5. Having seen the red card incident again from a different angle today, I’m going to buck the trend here and say I thought a red was fair enough - there was intent from their keeper and there was contact with the players face. The outcome of the match hinged on an earlier incident though, if Killie had got the penalty they deserved and gone 1-0 up it’s a whole different game.

  6. I actually backed the winner in 2013 Auroras Encore £5 e/w at (66/1) and donated £422.50 winnings to palliative care place The Margaret Kerr Unit who looked after my Mam before she passed away four days on from Grand National that same year.

    Well done SeeBass

  7. This is the chance to put the first nail in Stevie G's coffin.  If us and Killie can beat them in the next two then their season will be over on February 9th.

You’re playing with my dreams! Think it’s unlikely they’ll lose both, but even a draw against us then a cup defeat to killie would be very damaging for them - the fans would definitely start turning on Gerrard.

  8. I’m really disappointed with our strategy during the window, our squad has become weaker at a time when the 3 teams above us have clearly strengthened. I understand the benefit (hopefully) of Anderson and Wright going on loan, but looking at the bigger picture from January it just looks like a massive cost cutting exercise. A quality signing of some sort would have given the fans a lift and our opponents a reminder we mean business, and the dna supporters would have got some reward for their investment.

Assuming McKenna and Devlin are both fully fit again now, otherwise I don’t see how we can cope with the limited options we have.  ???

  9. I also wouldn't want him anywhere near Pittodrie. He might have been a risk worth considering but his actions this week have proved that he's too loose a cannon. He's not that bright either. I just wish we had a manager with some balls though. Lennon at least has passion and does possess a winner mentality, something that McGhee has in spades actually. But where McGhee just doesn't have any interpersonal or man-management skills whatsoever, and is therefore incapable of managing successfully, I'm starting to think that Lennon also has fatal personality defects that disqualify him from ever being considered.

    Good post.
