Agree with Mizer. He's alright, but certainly not worth the money he was apparently on. Let's hope this new contract is worth a good bit less than his last one.
Not likely.

Mackie runs and runs? ???
-
Will be shite there as well.
-
Cant argue with the stats like.
-
Celtic away cup game the club gave a small subsidy to supporters buses.
That will be it.
-
Which game was that?
I've been told tomorrows bus will be reduced prices.
Can't remember to be honest. It was back when I was using the bus all the time. Could have been.. Kilmarnock? Can't remember.
-
Well it's too late.
Last time my club took the subsidy anyway and we didn't get a saving.

The precedent was set with Michael Hart, I'd imagine we lost him for the sake of a few hundred quid a week.
I can't see why they just didn't give the cash they have paid to Dave Bus to Hart.
Bus probably wouldn't have been on enough for that to work.

Kits made by Reebok.

How can he be classed as "great". He's played very well at times, but made some crucial mistakes also, and is no way the finished article. Russell Anderson, or a McLeish type player, can be described as "great", but no way Diamond, yet.
Was using the word that minijc used as opposed to "half-decent". I agree that he's by no means the finished article. I also did say that he's made mistakes but again.. if we had to rely on just Considine and Mair/Bus we'd be fecked. Zander deserves credit.
-
3rd kit again. Oh dear. No need for it!!
-
I would suggest he has been 'half-decent' - not great?!
No. definately great. Some people are refusing to give him his due but we'd be fecked without him this season. We dont have another decent central defender. Not saying he's not made a single mistake but overall he's been great.
-
He'll obviously have to drop his pay demands. Peterborough's highest paid player would also be our highest paid player.
-
Cant believe Seve didnt stick it away right at the death. Had it finished 2-2 i reckon we'd have been favourites to go through!!
He's made up for it! He headed in the only goal of the game right at the death of the 2nd leg to put us into the final on away goal rule. Yas. Successful season then.
-
Personally, I hope that Miller does stay (but not on any more cash than he's already getting)
No chance.
-
He'll be great to have about the place!
If he was their highest earner he's surely taken a pay cut?
-
I hear we're gan tae sign Theo Walcott on loan
-
In today's paper Dundee Utd are also after Paul Dixon as well as Scott Robertson.
That's that fecked then.
-
My source and your source obviously aren't the same then!

Pish! A good player IMO. No way is he out of his depth in the Championship. He's come back from a long term injury and is playing a long distance from his family. Plymouth will see his worth if they keep him next season.
Agreed. He excelled for us under JC and has been underrated for a long time because he didnt play for the gruesome twosome. There's eejits on the PA forum saying he shouldn't be a first choice center back for them but I think he has the quality to be first choice for Sunderland in the premiership.

I was told his missus was back up in Aberdeen for the last couple of weeks... Maybe house hunting?!
His bird and kids never moved away from Aberdeen.

I really enjoyed todays game. We were passing the ball around really well and I thought we were unlucky to go into HT only level. Mistake from Diamond for their goal but apart from that they didn't really threaten.
Miller had a good chance from a header in the first half, then Jones cleared one off the line. In the 2nd half Mackie's goal was much like Maguires vs Falkirk but from the other side. It was a soft penalty for our 2nd but finished well.
Can only assume the players were sent off for things they said. The first one I could see coming as the player was clearly going to get booked but wouldn't go over to the ref. Another Hibs player was also trying to get him to walk away so he was clearly having a go at the ref. Nish must have aid something fairly serious to get a straight red for something he said, or had he been booked earlier?. He didn't argue it at all.
After that we created a lot of chances and should have scored more. Duff had a few chances, the two on his left foot he ballooned but the one on his right was a great strike. Miller went close from distance but I think the keeper had it covered. Same with the one he hit the bar with, if it had been low enough to go in I think the keeper would have got a touch.
It's hard to pick out any poor players after a game like that. I thought even Duff played well, although he was still getting a lot of stick from some. I wouldn't give him a new deal based on this performance alone but if he keeps that up for the rest of the season then I think he'll be a good squad player.
The Duff chances you mention really pissed me off.
He obviously doesn't have a left foot but he had plenty time and was in a great position and I thought he should have tried to cross rather than shoot. (Maybe that's what he did?) But either way he buggered two really good potential chances. I dont think he played well. Maybe he made less fuck-ups making it look like he did OK. I think he's mince and he can GTF.

Let's all start praying that this isn't the case! Like someone else said, though I'd be more surprised if it didn't happen.

Surely the likes of Christian Kalvenes and the Romanian boy from ICT would demand too much wages for us to be able to sign them? Caley Thistle are paying the boy £4000 per week.

If we dont play positively and try to win I'm not renewing my season ticket.
