  1. Interest in Lee Croft according to the Express

Managers Terry Butcher and Derek McInnes have both expressed an interest, but they face competition from Birmingham, Sheffield United and Rotherham, while Major League Soccer is also an option for the 28-year-old winger.

Croft helped St Johnstone reach their first-ever Scottish Cup Final and has played an influential role in getting Tommy Wright’s side into the top six of the Premiership.

The Englishman is out of contract in the summer and could leave McDiarmid Park under freedom of contract, although talks continue on an extension to his existing contract.

Croft is in his second spell with Saints. He also had stints at Derby, Manchester City, Norwich, Huddersfield and Oldham.

  2. Very good game and very good atmosphere. Robson was immense, the passion from him was something else, he was desperate for a win today. On the whole the draw was fair, we looked like the only winners but to be fair could've been a lot more than one down in the first 20 mins.

On a side note, did Rooney have a coin thrown at him?? Seen him pick something up when he was at the away end and hand it to the linesman, looked like a coin to me but little was made of it

  3. Its all ifs and buts, if you're gonna bring up that penalty incident then you have to mention Rooneys too. Need to see them both again but the BBC website says Caley were lucky to get away with it. So if he's playing that game its 0-0, in the first half and us with a chance to go 1-0 up. But thats not how it works, it will give the twat Hughes a reason to moan though

  4. It's a hell of a conundrum, Robson might be the one for me too but he's scored a few against Caley this year and that sometimes has a positive impact on the player... A fit Pawlett is a dead cert, Hayes has been playing well, I can't see Flood being dropped so that's down to McGinn and Robson. McGinn hasn't been on the best form but on his day he is too good to leave out so I guess that does leave Robson. Either way we has a class player on the bench if we need him

  5. Caley "could" appeal the red cards yesterday. Meaning they are free to play Hibs midweek but if upheld would be suspended for the final. Cant see the players being happy with having their place in a final jeopardised, but depends how much they want 2nd place. Only seen Tanseys, it look a bad challenge and probably was a red. Cant see them appealing myself

  6. I see Caley have to play Hibs in midweek.

Wonder if Hughes will rest any of his players for it

Also in the back of my mind is how Butcher will be feeling on the night given it could have been him preparing for a final rather than fighting tooth and nail for a top 6 place.

Can't see how they can really rest players, it's not an easy game and one of their games in hand. They potentially are just 4 points behind us if they win these games in hand so surely they are still looking at 2nd place as well.

  7. Just as you think you can't have anymore hate for one man Lennon outdoes himself. If he argue that Pawletts touch was too heavy and Forster could've got there then fair enough, I might have to agree. But where the fuck was Ambrose?? Nowhere, obvious red.

And was this the handball 2 minutes before the goal?? I never seen it either but obviously the butterfly effect shows that the Forrest goal wouldn't have happened. They score the penalty, ball goes back to the centre circle, Celtic have 30 mins to equalise... They've proved twice against us that they can't find an equaliser so who is to say they would've if the penalty was given??

  8. Did think Rooney would've taken the pen but can't really begrudge Robson taking it when the last one he took was unstoppable.

Thought the ref bottled it on the second Rooney pen incident, the keeper would have to have been off and who knows how that changes the game. However based on the 2nd half performance (when we should've came out with confidence, more so after the early chance from Shaughnessy) we deserved fuck all. We played some awful football, at times it looked like they thought the ball was a bomb about to go off and either ran away from it or punted it anywhere away from them so it didn't blow up near them... Can't comprehend it. However Rooney is still looking dangerous in front of goal, Motherwell lost too, got a chance to redeem themselves in midweek. Just gotta look to the next game and put that behind us

  9. First time doon to Firhill. Where is the best drinking establishment to go beforehand?? And can you get decent food there or is it best to go somewhere else first??

On a footballing note, will be good to have Robson and Hayes back. Any likelyhood on McGinn getting dropped?? Think he has been poor recently, maybe the kick up the arse he needs

  10. What time are the buses likely to be leaving?? Struggling to find a bus that isn't already full... Was thinking as a last resort we might me able to get across to Aviemore and meet the Inverness buses coming down.

Although might be worth joining anyway since buses for the home games come through Fochabers

Edit - My partner has been speaking to whoever runs the Facebook page, she has put our names down

  11. Meekings has had hid red card overturned and can play... Really don't understand that to be honest, the challenge itself wasn't the worst but he just kicked out at the guy knowing he wasn't getting the ball. I thought it was more the petulance and the fact the challenge was about 5 minutes late that justified the red
