Agree with your analysis of them as a club, but on purely selfish grounds I'd rather they stayed up.

Ross County to go down for me.

Beyond Killie being a #shiteclubnofans, we seem to get way more than our fair share of mid-winter mid-week trips to Rugby Park. Waaaay more than any other team, it would seem.

I know there's a sizeable portion of the Red Army based in the central belt. But for those travelling from the northeast, a February midweek trip to Dingwall is waaaay easier than to Kilmarnock

That's a bit harsh. On the reliant robin.

Willie Miller keeps calling him a Rolls Royce of a player on the radio too, seems McInnes' original description (which we all probably agreed with after his first couple of games) has stuck. He definitely brings a lot to a team and squad, but he'd probably be in the land rover defender (not the new abominations) category. Very reliable, easy to fix (he's always down injured and is invariably fine) and can run forever.

    So a Mazda 6 then

  3. Agreed on Pollock, MacDonald and Shinnie - we need to find a way to keep them all here next season.  I doubt we will get Clarkson for another year. Scales played magnificently this weekend, but I still have reservations about another deal. Maybe see how he fairs in the remaining Top 6 fixtures.

Duk and Miovski def need extensions. Miovski is a deadly striker and will do well in a league that isn't as physical as scotland. Benfica get 50% of whatever we sell him for, so yeah extend his contract and slap a price on him!

As for McRorie, yep Willie Miller is quite right to say we should be demanding more than £2M for him.  We don't need to sell him like we did when we sold Fergie and Ramsay. £2M is a bargain for a Rolls Royce of a player who is very comfortable in both defence or midfield

  4. Hearts and their fans really showing their colours right now. Fans graffitiing a mural funded by their fellow fans. And now players blaming "enduring European football exploits" for their tiredness that has led to their downfall.

    Boo fucking hoo!

Watched the rescue on Disney, documentary about the Thai football team that were stuck in the cave.

I remember watching the Netflix series about that. The ideas that were being thrown around by the international community to save the team was just incredible, including the air capsules that I believe were supposed to house one kid at a time whilst a driver dragged them through the water

Out of the Oscar films this year ...

Quite enjoyed All Quiet On The Western Front. Also strangely enjoyed Triangle Of Sadness which won awards at Cannes.

Made a rare appearance to attend today with my 6 year old son who is on P2 W2 for his first two matches at Pittodrie!

He's the team's lucky charm ... get him along to every game from now til 2067

Everone's first club doesn't necessarily have to be a small club. Mikel Arteta is doing okay in his first job.

He was hit & miss for a while at Arsenal. He started last season with back to back losses, and they failed to gain entry into any European competition under him for the first time in something like 25 years. But the board stuck with him, and now they're sitting pretty at the top of the EPL.

Different horses for different courses, you could probably compare Arteta's playing career with Robson's - a lot of challenges, a lot of success, had to endure time at the bigot-brothers, and ended up managing the last team he'd played for.

  9. If anyone offered Scotland a "comfortable third" before this season began, we would bite their arm off. But after commanding performances against Wales and England, indeed the season has evaporated. A shame, because ultimately we lost by 1 try against the world #2 side, and by two tries to the world #1 side.

That McGhee was largely finished as a manager was no secret either, I don't think you'll find a Dundee fan who doesn't believe that this was nepotism, and the club made no attempt to suggest otherwise either

Got a few mates who are Dundee fans, and they really struggled with McGhees appointment. Got to admit I scratched my head at that one too. The guy is a fkn neep, probably better to serve out his years as the manager of a joke shop

It's certainly an interesting one for the board. Ideally you give a manager plenty of time  (like we did with Goodwin) and they can assess the squad in a competitive environment ahead of the summer. However, if the team are performing, why wouldn't you want to finish as high as you can? Especially Europe is actually still to play for.

Yeah I feel for Robson. The fans love him, cos he is a red through and through, and he really puts his heart and soul into the job. He could win every game outside of the Ugly Sisters matches, but his inexperience will show eventually. If he wants to become a football manager, he needs to go and manage a lower division team asap before the poisoned chalice Pittodrie taints his reputation, which is only a matter of time and inevitability.
