I must admit I've followed this thread with interest for a while now, I'm happy to go with Tom Widdows, seems to be he only one talking any sense about it.
I can understand the "Don't leave Pittodrie" crowd but all the arguments for staying appear to be based on nostalgia and in my experience (I work in construction but on a smaller scale) just aren't feasible.
Yeah it would be fuckin awesome to stay there and yes we could probably come up with some sort of design but on a build of this type anything out of the ordinary would cost us a small fortune. Without our biggest asset to sell we would be screwed. Doesn't matter who done what elsewhere on the planet, the build cost for re developing pittodrie would cripple us.

What is your proposal to resolve the stadium issue?
Plan D (Phase 2) should be redeveloping our home in an inventive way via a form of proper financing
there is you answer Tom, if only AFC had thought of it first

Sounds like a story started by his agent to get him more money
-
Well that was anti-climactic.
50% disappointed, 50% relieved.
Couldn't agree more
-
Looks quite smart

Any news on Rooney?
BBC saying he'll miss it
-
someone on the hat that seems clued up (well for the hat...) saying Tansey has asked the sfa to get involved.
Surely he can do them for breach of contract?
-
Didn't expect him to make it today...

i think the point that upsets most folk is that it's never equal, if it's a red then fair enough, as long as all similar challenges result in the same. But when you get a red for that and Brown didn't even get booked. Refereeing is like roulette these days, you've no idea what's going to happenI must be in the minority. I agree it was harsh, but at the same time have seen lots of similar reds given, even in the English premiership so not surprised the appeal failed.
I'd relish that kind of tackle when I played, but these days it doesn't take much to be considered reckless.
Hopefully Johnny enjoys his rest and come back hungrier than ever

yeah that was it. Looked good running at people with the ball, keeps playing like that he won't be there for longMahrez? brilliant player. I've enjoyed watching Leicester since they got promoted, one of the few entertaining sides in the Epl. Ranieri seems like a good bloke too, very charismatic.

Aberdeen will appeal against the red card shown to winger Jonny Hayes in Saturday's 2-1 victory over Celtic.
With the score at 1-1, referee Craig Thomson showed Hayes a straight red for a challenge on defender Mikael Lustig with 18 minutes left at Pittodrie.
Aberdeen went on to win the match with 10 men and go top of the table.
The appeal will mean the 28-year-old Irishman will be available for selection in Tuesday's home Premiership game against Hamilton Academical.

put it on just before the got their first, some comeback...that guy that was on the right looked some playerLeicester were 2-0 down at home to the vile and are about to win 3-2, some comeback after half time!
-
He's got some nerve! The amount of decisions that go in their favour every fuckin week and he complains that it didn't go their way this time....fuckin idiot!
-
he was immense today, broke up everything and wasn't scared to go to ground to win the ball. Can't believe he isn't in the Scotland team, seems they'll pick anyone before an Aberdeen player...Whilst I agree Quinn had a great game Shinnie was MOTM for me. I know I go on about him being better at LB but he was a titan in midfield today
-
Shit myself for a couple of minutes there, great result in the end tho!
Anybody know anything about the next mob?

As much as its a good signing is it right that I'm a little worried about the fact we've just spent a load of money? We've been in a huge amount of debt for years and have been given a fresh start with the debt being cleared and now all of a sudden. We have 300 grand to spend?
Maybe just too used to everything being frees and loan deals

Great news!!
-
This talk is all nonsense, if we're still 2 behind come April then fine. Otherwise it will just distract the players and piss Celtic off, who will then have something to prove...
-
Hayes has apparently said Paton never spat at him (twitter)
-
Yes yes and yes
-
apparently wants a better contract from themIf it was such a done deal you would think it would have been confirmed by now.

i'm 50/50I wish Zola all the best but I agree I think he had to move on.
I do hope this means Kris Boyd will be joining us, he would be a great signing.
Think he can be a great striker and is a natural goal scorer, just always wondered about his work rate.
-
thisWell I for one wish him all the best.
On reflection the SPL was probably to big a step up for him.
Referees in Scotland however did him no favours, and for some reason (probably was he was built like a brick shit house) seemed to be under the impression that no one could or would foul him and subsequently everything was given against him.
By all accounts a thoroughly decent guy, so all the best Calvin

Thought McLean was better than Jack today by quite a bit. Personally think Jack should be stripped of the captaincy for the final as can't really see him staying. Give it to Shinnie.
Seems a few people are forgetting this was a semi final, the occasion can get to the best of them. Found the tv commentary hilarious, they were watching a different game and seemed to be willing Hibs to win, leapt from my seat when we scored the winner, fuck the BBC.
They rattled on about Hibs " knowing how to get the job done", they've won it once in the last hundred years, fuckin idiots!
