It seems an unpopular opinion but i really like Hughes. Constantly looks to get beyond the midfield (his back heel to Hayes...superb) but also isn't afraid to go back if needed.
I thought Hughes was excellent today and impressive against County too. Playing with Jack and Rae behind him in midfield seems to give him plenty freedom to break forward - albeit slowly - and he has the requisite skill to be a menace in that sense.

Evening Depress reporting that the above is a target as a loan signing for us.
No chance.
Very highly rated, I think he'll end up at a Championship side at least for this season.

Whoever's responsible should consider a Korea change.

Just read the Robert Enke biography, A Life Too Short. Pretty grim obviously, but very well written.
Not long finished The Fear Index too, not one of Harris' best really. Still enjoyable enough though.

3-0 up after 20 minutes.
-
Jesus Christ, we'll end up with the most immobile defence in the history of the SPL.
-
St Johnstone beaten 2-0. Eskisehirspor the better team but Saints unlucky in that both goals took sizeable defections.
-
Full-back. Sign it.

One thing Stuart. If Rangers have been put into Division 3, doesn't that mean you've lost the heating allowance money on the bet?

Dundee are in according to the notoriously reliable Twitter.

Green and McCoist are a disconcerting presence the meeting today.

The SFL saw a level of unity and unselfishness that owes significant credit to the First Division clubs who stated their intention to seek a 42 club solution and not to take part in a divisive alternative. This kind of unity, if maintained, will help deliver the change that the game so badly needs and the First Division clubs in particular will merit.
One of the factors which hopefully mean any attempt at SPL2 will come to nothing.
-
Who from the SPL is involved in this? What is AFC's stance? Season ticket holders deserve know now.
Absolutely.
Also, what if the invited Division One clubs instruct them to ram it?

Awful looking kit. Especially after last season's white one, which was excellent. As long as we pull off some decent results in it though, I'm not overly bothered.
-
I actually wish we were in a better financial situation so we could resign our own spl position and apply to the 3rd division ourselves. Leave the Old Firm and their cronies to it.
I'd love afc to come out of this 'clean'.
To be fair, we're coming out of this with more credit than I feared we would.

Moved back by twelve months. Surely nobody saw this coming.
The timetable for Aberdeen Football Club's relocation from Pittodrie to a new state of the art sports stadium at Loirston Loch has been revised with the move now scheduled to take place in the summer of 2014, in time for the start of the 2014-5 season, twelve months later than originally anticipated. The Club's Chief Executive Duncan Fraser commented. "From the outset, when we announced the original timetable, we did state it was an extremely robust and ambitious timescale and that has proved to be exactly the case.
"The issue of land assembly in the locality of the site was always going to be one of the major challenges and, while we remain confident of a positive outcome, the process has taken longer than we had originally hoped. While moving during the course of a season was certainly an option, that course of action was ruled out as the most appropriate time for such a move would be in the close season. In addition, there is no doubt everybody connected with AFC was extremely disappointed with the season just finished and the stadium being put back by twelve months will allow the number one focus next season to be in ensuring on the field success.
"While the delay is disappointing, such is the scale of the project, it is imperative to ensure we are not giving ourselves unrealistic deadlines to work towards and we can now carry on with planning for a further two full seasons at Pittodrie.
Plans for the new 21,000 stadium for Aberdeen Football Club were approved by Aberdeen City Council and the Scottish Government early last year, followed by approval for the sale of the existing Pittodrie Stadium site for residential use, with the proviso that work on the current home of AFC would not commence until the stadium at Loirston was completed.
