its not though my man.
in a thread belittling maguire, some yahoo was bashing on about how considine was man of the match and had a rampaging game at full back.
you work it out.
The same folk who will tell you Mackie is Pish, Stuart Duff was a waste of breath and Foster isn't any good at all! Then tell you Fergie is a god along with Alex McLeish (I won't mention Willie Miller here)
Its starting to sound like Neil Lennons Living room in here!
Its not an anti weegie conspiracy, they are just plain wrong (or should I say have a different opinion to me?). But.

he gets constantly bashed by his own fans - even though we all know its down to their own aberdonian insecurity and general jealousy of all things glasgow - so why should he stay here?
Dunno if this is just a dig at Stoney but that's a lot of shite!
Insecurity about weegies?? Get a grip min!

Signed according to the BBC!!!
Aberdeen have signed Blackburn striker Nick Blackman on loan for the remainder of the season. The forward spent the first half of the season with Motherwell, scoring 10 goals, and has just agreed a new two-and-a-half year contract at Ewood Park.
The Dons have also signed Robert Milsom until the end of the season, following the midfielder's release from Fulham.
The 24-year-old spent 12 years with the Craven Cottage outfit but made just two first team appearances as a substitute.
Having started his career as a full-back, he can also play on the left of midfield or in a central role.
Milson, who is manager Craig Brown's third signing, was on loan at Finnish side TPS last season and has also had spells at Brentford and Southend.
Speaking to the club website, Brown said: "We are delighted to have signed Rob. He excelled on loan in Finland last season.
"Again, our good relationship with Fulham through the manager Mark Hughes and his relationship with Archie Knox from their time at Manchester United and my friendship with reserve coach Billy McKinlay, has enabled us to make this additional good signing."
Blackman is well known to Brown and his assistant Knox, having played under them at Motherwell before the veteran pair moved to Pittodrie last month.
The news will disappoint new Motherwell boss Stuart McCall, who had thought his club would have first option on the 21-year-old should he be allowed to go on loan in Scotland again.

If it was a straight shot out between Mackie or Maguire i would be picking mackie every single time, not much between them at all at this moment in time, at least i know that Mackie will give all he has and genuinly cares about the club.
Not his biggest fan - but if it came down to those two, mackie would be my first choice and that is frightening.
I kind of agree with this (sorry) but probably a heart ruling the head thing. Bebo has hit a wee purple patch just now and is playing well, but Mackie has more application and only a wee bit less ability.
Mind you If he's going to spend the rest of this season playing his balls off till he gets picked up by the tims then he would be an asset. Keeping him another season might just kick in the 'Robbie Winters Syndrome' If we can get the same money for him in the close season after him trying to impress scouts every week as we would in Jan, might as well keep him! Get Big Broon to tell him there's a celtic scout in the stand every week!
On a side note maybe we could go back to reasoned arguments like we used to in the old days on this site (about a month ago) The main arguments seem to be that A N Other is Stupid or 'fishing' or a cretin or just plain not liked! Its OK to say 'I think you are wron' and argue why but the one line slaggings are getting tedious.
Up 'e Dons!

Presumably the only thing that was closed on MM was the amount of players he could bring in... As for contracts/wages - that's Miller's job as has been expressed on numerous occasions.
I'd say that MM did a pretty good job of signing some competent talent - I guess his management left a little to be desired but then let's not forget our players have a history of being lazy blaggers too...
Was that not Mghee's decision though? to have less players but "better" players?

Including the wages we're paying him...
Or at the very least the wages we are Paying Ricky Foster for playing for the huns!

didn't think you could listen to BBC abroad?
You can listen to open all mics but not the commentary!
(That's how my Saturdays are spent at work)

As an aside Dixon is a fuckin spooner. What a Dickhead!
Who is the little cnut anyway? His wee dance about after their goal was embarrasing, it was only 1-1 after all! Dick!

Do you think he still had the jacket at home? Just waiting for the phone to ring?

Also well done wullie, just told the new manager he was not an 'outstanding candidate'!!
Nice confidence booster to start your new job with!

I was just looking over the accounts from 2002 how have we managed to get ourselves in such a pickle?
The loan back then was very managable
It'll probably be because of the fans expectations to compete with the infirm that we speculated to accumulate, Badly!
Not the fault of the board!

I think I've got some grit in my eye or something!!!

If you're going to strike you have to put it in writing 7 days before the strike action I believe (or certainly used to be the case) so I doubt this will happen.
I though Ref's weren't actually Employed by the SFA and are volunteers who get expenses for each game!
Maybe thats the old way?

I'm not trying to be Positive or anything, but I saw the Thompson loon on STV last night saying the same thing for the Arabs.
The Setanta deal and general Malaise in Scottish football has hit everyone hard and a fair few players will be forced to accept lower deals not just at AFC.
I do however agree that having the 4th highest wage budget and being 11th in the league is unnaceptable.

I'm going to wait till someone else leaves their PC unatended before clicking on that link!!

I'm really quite pleased to see so many folk saying good things about oor Darren!
Seems a very vocal Minority hate the poor loon, Guy behind us in the SS giving him Pelters just before he puts in the cross for Hartley to score! Same guy then shouting 'boo' when he tries to make a challenge!
Never going to be a super star but gives 100% and involved in a lot more than folk give him credit for! Hopefully gets sorted sooner rather than later!
-
that'll NEVER happen
Probably not, but if his 'rolling year' was not renewed then we could punt him??
Just a thought!

I have a vague recollection of either a tricolor or the red handed flag being hung up in the RDS for one of the infirm games. It lasted about 5 mins till the fans round about it got a steward to get rid of it. I'm sure the cops were involved too!
Long time ago though.
Winding up us OK but not by becoming as bad as them!

Odds on Calderwood (Jimmy) being next Aberdeen manager?
Odds on Aberdeen being Relegated?

Minutes per goal scored by the mighty AFC?

Radio Scotland about 20 mins ago.
I'm sure the statement Richard Gordon made was that he wouldn't be surprised if they were arranging a board meeting tonight??
Not the same as him saying there will be one, not that he would know either!

Am I being cynical and thinking the change of management at pittodrie would be a reason for him to be more likely to come this time!!
Maybe Magoo DID try to pull out all the stops but he didn't want to work for him (or his backroom team) again?
