Boyd can finish but he's a lazy b@stard. Yes he had a good season with Kilmarnock but I watched him over here in the States with Portland and he was absolute mince - without the right type of service he waddled around the park aimlessly. The one thing Aberdeen has going for it right now is our pace whereas Killie built their team around him as the focus point up front.

He's going to be expensive and he is only going to slow down. Save the money and focus on brining in someone in the prime of their career with a bit of pace. Not to mention he's a dirty Hun.

So Ramires gets a 4 game ban for back handing Seb Larsson the other day. Despite it being about 2 yards in front of the ref he managed to miss it. I think it's the right decision, you can't allow that but after seeing the incident a further million times on tv today I couldn't help but notice that it was barely a slap yet Seb hit the deck like he'd been shot. I don't have a problem with him going down but no one's mentioned it apart from me. But if that was Suarez that took a slap in the chops and went down in that way he'd be getting chastised! Just an observation like.

I'd observe that it's because Ramires is a Chelsea player that no one is making a big deal about it... But then you somehow managed to turn it into something about a cheating Liverpool player.

Carrick was voted United's player's player of the year last season, and deservedly so, but as I've said before, Moyes tactics have him playing 10 yards further up the park where he just won't be effective.  Play Carrick sitting right in front of the defence and he'll control the vast majority of matches for United, particularly at home. He hasn't been in that position this season and United have really struggled, particularly at home.

 

There are good players there who are not performing for him (there are some average ones not performing for him too) but they've not looked comfortable as a unit all season and that goes to the manager.

 

I like Davie Moyes, generally, but never thought he was up to the United job and I feel a bit sorry for him. I hope they put him out his misery and let him get on with his career at a club where he's a more comfortable fit.  Some of the players have done the dirty on him - Rio Ferdinand leaking every line up to the Mirror is an example of this; it wouldn't have happened under Fergie and Rio should be out the door right after Moyes.

Agree with that completely. Some of the so-called senior players have been a disgrace.

TBF be fair hardly anyone could have followed SAF and made an immediate success of it.

I think that's true and Moyes has been pretty awful. However, some of those players have been an absolute disgrace this season and they have to take some of the responsibility.

Personally think Pistorius sounds very remorseful about what happened, but there's no way he didn't know Reeva was in the toilet when he fired the shots.

That's my take on it as well, it was heat of the moment and he regrets it absolutely - but he knew she was there and he fired several times.

What I don't get is, let's suppose it wasn't Reeva and had actually been someone breaking in, would it have been ok to murder them?
