As someone said to me recently, there will come a day when we all throw the mobiles in the sea, as our only means of reclaiming the freedoms we once had.

Snowden says 'I don't care' is a coping mechanism.

I think you are balls deep in a river in Egypt Mr Poirot.

I don't care is my coping mechanism, because I sincerely don't give a shite if google can tap in gmail or Apple to icloud mail

Question remains, if you're fearful of a personal profile of yourself being on file somewhere, why post on the internet giving your view on this, that and the next thing?

  2. Luddites fearful of the future!

If it's that scary, smash up your computer devices and go and live in a cave. Unlikely as you enjoy spouting forth your opinion for the world to see.

Slight contradiction considering you don't like big brother watching.

  3. The latter case being the one referred to.

The article (once it stops jumping around all over the place due to pop-ups) starts off with case of murder in 2017. It then refers to another case when Alexa was going to play a part. Then it specifically states the murder case in January 2017 was dismissed from court in November of the same year.

    Fucking plum.

  4. I stand corrected. I've plucked the pertinent point of the article posted for you to peruse:

The case was dismissed in November 2017.

In other words, no need for paranoia.

  5. Apologies for the error. Good to see your narcissism and belligerence beginning to flourish.

I see you're also pointing your paranoid finger at Alexa, as if it's some kind of state sponsored bugging device that would have taken pride of place in East Germany. You can go and delete everything that's been reordered any time.

Mine consists of little more than  'Alexa, what the weather going to be tomorrow?' 'Alexa, play Elvis: Wonder of you'

I've yet to hear of anyone's list of Alexas recordings being used in court.

The point I was making is that sinister equipment is being actively used by the Police now, you seemed to be saying this was exclusive to the spy agencies and not in general use.

Can hardly be described as sinister or nefarius! Tracking mobile data regarding suspected criminals is a good thing. If you've nothing to hide, no need to feel aggrieved.

Morton have been involved more than once, did they not have 4 players put £5k each on Airdrie to win the league in about 2004, when they were miles clear at the top?

One of whom was Alex Williams, who later served time in jail for drug dealing.

At the risk of taking this thread too far off topic, this was found out to be nonsense. At the time of Morton's 'slump' Airdrie were 4th in the league. Hamilton were catching the leaders, not Airdrie. It was a mixture of Cowboy Cormack being incompetent as a manger, Alex Williams being a street urchin drunkard and their defence shipping goals right left and centre.

  8. Just because he's not listed on any internet site, doesn't mean he's not on the amended list given to match officials.

Why else would he be wearing full strip, boors and shin guards and indeed doing stretching excercises behind the goal if he wasn't listed as potentially playing?

  9. ^ That's why

On the Campbell thing, was he not on the bench after Bryson pulled out? Therefore everyone is right.

Correct. He wasn't listed as Bryson pulled out after the team lines had been distributed. Hence the reason, he was in the stand ready to participate despite not being named as a substitute.

  10. To look at a world wide pandemic from such an obtuse point of view is a bit strange. People are dying from an as yet not fully understood virus with no vaccine.

It likely hasn't impacted Wick or Thurso or whichever windswept parochial backwater you inhabit, hence the ridiculous conspiracy theory.

I don't cut the grass. My wife does ours and at least once a week is what she reckons it needs. Takes her an hour so better her wasting her time than me wasting mine. I would pay somebody myself but she enjoys it.

I don't care who cuts your postage stamp. The question was: When do you spike and sand?

  12. To add to 'what I've been doing today:

Between last night and this morning I watched all 5 episodes of the documentary:Outcry.

I won't spoil it for anyone but the incompetence of the police department in question is amazing.

    Well worth a watch.

  13. The interesting thing about grass cutting this year is the prolific abundance of those large brown mushrooms there appears to be this year. Most unusual.

Do you spike and fine sand your lawn towards the beginning of October Squeakmeister? Or do you recommend March for this activity?

  14. ^ I don't think 'population thinning' is working. Most people I know who've been on lock down and working from home have put on weight.
