  1. Stadia decision made don't see point of folk still bitching about it, save your energy to make sure

They make it decent inside & out .

Fine walk from union street stopping at all the pop up match day bars on the way .?

Currently "saving my energy" to make the stadium better. ?

  2. I don't get the ticket sales for this one. We got one for my 17 year old daughter, simply because she's never ever seen the Dons draw let alone lose so she's coming along as the lucky charm but she's attended no more than half a dozen games in her life. That can't be right, that some of us can get as many tickets as we want but many genuine supporters will lose out?

It's based on feedback, on fans saying they want to be able to sit with their mates and that limiting sales meant they couldn't, as that this was impacting in the atmosphere. So in this instance the club should be commended for listening to feedback.

Needs worked on - maybe every person should have a minimum number of loyalty points.

  3. Al, I did NOT glorify the event. I was responding directly to a hun and I was actually quite proud of my put down. We don't do walking away they said, before they let their club die. It was precisely them walking away and then rushing back up to see what was happening that caused the loss of life and to my knowledge, this weakness within the hun mentality has never been fully appreciated as the single reason for the tragedy.

And I'll repeat my now deleted post.

You're saying it's wrong for Rangers to mock child abuse, but using kids dying in the Ibrox Disaster to point score.

And, did the tragedy not happen because one guy fell creating a domino effect? Are you basically wrong about everything RS?

  4. Back on topic ;)

13,000, how the hell can they justify that?  Pitch distance from stand I could understand so you lose a few rows, but fail to see the justification for that. Would really like to hear what rules would dictate that.

I'm glad they're installing a hybrid pitch though, not sure why they weren't going for it in the first instance.  When's it due for completion, next summer?

Someone suggested (don't know if they're correct as club haven't answered it), that the whole South Stand would have been closed due to not having enough toilets and catering facilities.

But what I want to know is, did Uefa actually say this to Aberdeen, or do Aberdeen look at the UEFA guidelines and take them as read, ignoring the fact most clubs get dispensation.

  5. If you were to ask 1,000 Aberdeen fans who were at both games, the overwhelming majority - approaching unanimity - would consider the Rangers semi the better bounce than Burnley. I thought you might have known this? The fact that you contest it may be revealing, if anyone gave enough of a fuck to ponder such.

The Burnley game was a cracking atmosphere (and the first full house at Pittodrie for many a moon) and a good laugh too - one nil to the Sunday League - but you don't have a clue what you're talking about - sorry, let me rephrase, you don't have a clue what Aberdeen fans feel and think - if you put those two games anywhere close in the same bounce bracket.

" The fact that you contest it may be revealing"

Weird comment, but then it's from you and baffling comments are the norm.

I was actually talking about the bounce down at Burnley in the away leg. I didn't actually say it was better than Hampden, but in that exact moment - the result is irrelevant because it's the goal we were celebrating - it was just as gorgeous.

  6. Apart from the fact the horse has bolted, what a load of shite.

The match day experience will change from being a short walk from the city centre in the heart of the city - for who? Seems to be another "walking distance" fan upset that after a lifetime of convenience, it'll be convenient for a different demographic of fans. Pish

But you don't need to move six miles away, where the day becomes about shuttle buses and the countryside, to do that. - for who? I won't be shuttle bussing, many others won't either, in fact it'll be a helluva lot easier then crawling through town and trying to find a parking space down the beach.

The club has had NO discussions with the fans over Pittodrie, not a single bit of debate. We have simply been told it is not possible and if it is then it is too expensive, rather than having a grown up and open debate to look at what we as a city and support can do to stay in our home. - fit the fuck? Well if you haven't gone to the various exhibitions and meetings, that's up to you, but one thing that can't be denied is the number of times fans have had the chance to go and see and comment on the development, and provide their feedback.

Fans have had a chance to give their views on Kingsford. They haven't been given a chance to debate what could be done with Pittodrie.

  7. Well said. Bang on. Milne pushing his agenda.

Plus, £11.5m? There's at least 5 or 6 million of cream in there. This is how rich people get richer. By greed and theft. But it's OUR money that Milne has been stealing and he's stealing our football and our history too. The semi final v. them was the best bounce since before any of my kids were born, 28.5 years ago. Two league cups since then for a club of our resources, potential and record is a disgrace.

Best bounce in 28.5 years? Actually, the Burnley bounce was cracking.

And it'll be three league cups in a few weeks.

You got the McInnes wage slip yet to show us?

  8. Wasn't there, but been reading some of the comments on it.

Training facility cost has risen to £11.5m due to ground works proving more problematic, and the club have now decided to install a hybrid training pitch (and will install one in stadium too).

They say had Aberdeen made group stages of Europa League, capacity would have been 13,000 due to Uefa restrictions. This hasn't been explained anywhere, doesn't sound very plausible. No-one there appears to have questioned them on it.

  9. Another route (and a good way to skip the queues at central) is to get the low level train to Rutherglen. Maybe a 20 minute walk from there.

Edit: Actually just googled it and it's more like 30-35 mins walk. But it is at least at the East/Aberdeen side of Hampden, and won't be many people queuing for it. We do it all the time for Scotland games to beat the long queues at central.
