  1. good news for the club.

What has that horrible little weasel ever done to help the club he claims to love so much?

23 years, he has watched others put there hands in there pockets while he sits in his mansion counting the pennies.

    HE IS the big problem.

  2. Anyone unhappy with that is a miserable cunt.

Some great play by a new look team against top opposition!

That touch and run by Fraser was first class.

Holland were very lucky to win that.

We were also missing our 3 best players arguably.

    McGregor is fantastic.

Great friendly to try new guys out and to enhance or expose players.

With the right manager we could be a superb team.

    Friendlies are not my thing.

Decided against my better judgement to go, last international at Pittodrie, some local interest.........

What I witnessed did not surprise me, the Dutch seemed to treat it more like a training session.

Did I find it entertaining? No

What I did like was the amount of players from the Scottish Leagues, I genuinely believe this is the way.

Whether this was down to Mackay or players/ teams south of the border not wishing to be involved in a meaningless friendly is anybodys guess.

I fear whoever the next manager is, normal service will resume.

Jack did well when defending but showed his limitations when he went forward.

Had acres of space on many occasions in the 2nd half (due to Depay not giving  shit at the defending stuff) and his crossing was poor.

Teirneys defending was very good, not sure about the Hollywood passes.

Mulgrew did very well when he came on.

McLean was quiet 1st half , did ok 2nd half.

Christie I thought was average, got knocked off the ball very easily.

McGinn impressed me, have not seen much of him but looked like a very good player in what was a congested midfield.

Gets stuck in and seems to be a good passer.

    Forrest was a disappointment.

Phillips, how did he lasted 86 mins ? Maybe not his fault as he is not a CF.

Finally very disappointed Shinnie did not get on, it would have lifted the crowd at very least.

    No more friendlies for me.

  3. We must have been watching different players, Certainly more active defensively, wouldn’t say he played anything like as well as he can or he has for us. Can’t remember many decent passes during the first half at all, improved in the second but still not to the level he’s clearly capable of. Looks like he needs a rest to rediscover decent form.

Why would we be watching different players?

Anyone who thought McLeans passing was dire either has an agenda against the player or wouldn't know a football if it hit them on the head.

McLean played well yesterday, a couple of misplaced passes same as most players. How many players come off the pitch with a 100% pass success?

He was also decent against Motherwell (League) and was one of our better players in a poor performance against Kilmarnock.

For the record I am no big fan of McLean but I cant fault his effort in recent games and if he ends up moving on  he can go fuck himself.

Back to yesterdays game, no failures, good performance against a team that have given us many problems over recent years.

  4. Convincing win without ever really getting out of first gear. Worrying that we take our foot off the gas after around 30 mins but still a great result. For spells we knocked it around very well indeed.

McKenna and Arnason were solid, must keep their places for a while, Shinnie was excellent at left back, O’Connor solid in midfield too. McLean wasteful in possession but tried more defensively than I’ve seen in a while, needs to cut out the Hollywood balls that rarely work though. In fact his passing in general was dire...

So much for Rooney not contributing either,  thought he was excellent throughout, need to give him and may a decent run together as there’s the making of a really strong partnership there.

Level on points with Celtic without ever really hitting the standard we seem to be capable of, I’ll take that

passing wasn't dire at all, he played well.

  5. Shinnie MOTM, proper Left Back.

Cant really fault anyone today, still not sure about wide areas.

Stewart did ok but very predictable, Rooney and May shared wide left and did well but neither are wide players.

thought the ref was going to book Christie then all of a sudden gave a spot kick, not sure if he knew what was going on at all.

Only ref I have seen walk through a game.

  6.

    In or Oot - In

    Furryboots - Main

    Pre - Home

    Post - Home

    Prediction - 1-1 S.McLean, K.McLean

    Hopeful line-up.

                                                                                Lewis

                            Logan                Arnason                                    McKenna              Considine

                                                    McLean                                Shinnie

                            Stewart                                      Christie                                        Wright

                                                                                May

  7. Frustrating performance, after being in control for 30 minutes we completely lost it and only got back in the game after Christie and GMS came on.

Logan was given a torrid time by there 11, altough he got no help at all.

Stewart is beginning to look like a luxury player, good ability but no pace and not a great workrate.

Forget playing 2 up front, Maynard is sub at best.

Shinnie worked hard but needs to cut out giving away silly free kicks.

Wright goes missing too often when the going gets tough.

As bad as Arnason was against Hamilton he was very good today.

McLean was our best player today for me, could not fault his attitude or effort at all, he went absolutely ballistic with Stewart after they scored.

McInnes needs to find his best 11 and stick with it for a few games, a good team is there.

  9. Miller didnt hold back on what he thought of Arnason on radio commentary. And he wasnt too complimentary about his replacement either...

Sounded like Hamilton tried to kick us off the park, though for a good 20 minute spell after the sending off it sounded like they were the better side. Its a bastard facing them on their own ground straight away, especially in a knockout competition, really not sure what changes we need to make but I'd be tempted to drop Shinnie back to left back, pair Arnason with Consi and move AOC into midfield to try to combat their physicality.

    Anyway good start boys

wouldn't have Arnason anywhere near the team after todays game, he was horrific.

Might just have been an off day, but I would wait for a home game before playing him again.

  10. scrappy performance, good result in the end.

Logan rightly MOTM, O'Connor also very good (first half in particular).

Christie and Wright a bit hot and cold but both have the ability.

    McLean not doing enough.

Maynard looked ok, some nice link play. Should have scored although the defender did well to get back.

Arnason was absolutely pish, and that's being kind.

    Refreee......................... ???

  11. Calm yerself.  My comment was based on TenCaat's statement (we are still playing Partick away).  But thanks for clarifying that the split of home/away remains even.

In retrospect, it might have been a bit too optimistic to expect such even-handedness towards us.

Three home games for Sevco and three away for Dons, quelle surprise.

perfectly calm, nae sure why some folks think we are hard deen by with 3 aways.

The split itself is a joke, but given it is what it is, things look perfectly fair to me.
