  1. I find some Aberdeen supporters obsession with the Huns very strange, sad I would say.

Personally cant stand the Club, equally cant stand the other side either.

There is no difference in my book.

  2. Him & Milne are completely changing the T&Cs of the club I signed up to support. We will feel the effects of McInnes for years after we’ve finally got rid of the boring smug Hun arsehole.

you don't like him. fine that's your choice.

Seems to me the Hun thing is used to justify your stance on McInnes.

Same as some folks used it to claim there dislike of McLean.

Where do you stand with the likes of Forrest, Ferguson, Bell, Bett, Cooper, McLeish, Robertson, Wright,Foster and the rest?

Sure people take a dislike to certain individuals and use the Hun word if it suits.

    Boring smug arsehole maybe?

  3. Wee Stuartie probably will

every club does it for League games, they count the ST holders whether they are there or not.

Thing I dinna like why don't ST holders nae give there ticket to somebody if they are nae gan?

At the Hamilton game there were loads of empty seats around me in the Main, yet C & D are always showing sold out or close to sold oot every game.

    Onyways:

In: RDL, as C & D sections in Main Stand sold oot !!!!!

    1-1 GMS penalty

  4. Would like to see Scott Wright & Bruce Anderson start on Friday, lets have a right go & play to OUR strengths, hopefully with G.M.S & McGinn back on form.

Unfortunately the money Wilson is on means he will probably start, although he has been garbage for 2 out of our last 3 games.  Big game next Friday, but win it & we are back in the mix.

Hopefully come January, we are in the mix & we can offload/strengthen.

    Wilson isn't the problem.

How many players have as you say " been garbage, 2 of the 3 last games" ?

    Just asking.

  5. Aye, but if there isn't a player available, then you don't just sign someone for the sake of it. We're paying a decent amount for Wilson, so he's due us a return. We could easily buy a decent striker but only get them on a year or two contract, so a guy that's here for a season should rightly get our support.

I think at a point in time this season we just have to accept that we don't really have a good striker and just give who ever draws the short straw our backing. I've resigned to not expecting anything from the front one or two this season and it's made me feel a lot better about it! Young Bruce up front for the next game I'd say.

how much chances have been created for Wilson?

For strikers to score they need to have creative players alongside to give chances.

There is the problem, we have fuck all in central midfield so rely on McGinn/ GMS to create.

McGinn hasn't been great recently but at least has been involved in a couple of goals , GMS today was a liability and how he lasted 90 minutes is a mystery.

Shinnie is a workhorse but lacks composure and has no quality around him. Ferguson has came up with the big goals but in truth his overall performances in the semi and today were poor. Showed plenty character which is good and i do like him.

There is the real issue, we have lost those players in recent times (McLean, Christie, Hayes)

Gleeson and Forrester have failed miserably, believe me strikers are not the main problem.

  6. It doesn't matter how you win, it only matters that you win.

good defense, Lewis, Logan, Devlin, McKenna, Lowe, as good as anything in the league. Hopefully can extend Lowes loan spell.

wish Considine well but Lowe is better.

GMS was very good and I think Wilson is a proper player, did look a bit lazy it has to be said.

    Will miss the final, gutted.

  7. hard work that was, but it was vital to win.

as a defensive unit we are fine, just missing someone to link with the forwards.

Kenny McLean is a miss in that area.

Funny how peole see things different, thought Logan was one of our better players, Motherwell played Sammon on him and lumped high balls but Logan coped well and along with GMS our biggest threat going forward.

Dont see a player in Cosgrove at all.

    W

  8. Do we still feel obliged to mention Tansey (not you, the club)?

Anyway, I'd go 3-4-1-2. Ditch Forrester, he was pish.

    --------------Lewis---------------

    ---Devlin---Consi---McKenna---

    Logan---Ball---Shinnie----Lowe

    --------------McGinn------------

    --------Cosgrove---Anderson---

is that the team you think McInnes will play or your team?

looks like a set up just so Considine can play, looks awful to me, I would never have Considine as a CD.

I would play Lewis- Logan, Devlin, McKenna, Lowe- McGinn, Shinnie, Campbell, GMS- Anderson, Wilson.

Never going to happen but by fuck it would be more exciting.

First game for me since Burnley( due to work) need to win this, simple.

  9. Thought that left back Lowe looked a class act today, pity he is only here for a few months.

seems to me that the only reason Lowe was signed was so Considine could play CH with McKenna and Reynolds out.

Clear he sees Shinnie as CM and Considine as LB.

Otherwise there is no point signing a loan player for 4  months.

  10. I can barely name the squad these days but as far as I recall Rooney was not the lynch pin of last seasons 2nd place finish and every week someone seemed to be having a go at McLean yet now he is away panic has set in almost as if we didnt know that was going to happen.

Frankly Im amazed its taken this long for Rooney to find himself another club given he seemed to spend most of last seaoson on the bench and being brought on when there was either nothing left to play for, or having no time whatsoever. His 11 goals came in 8 games - St Johnstone (4), Partick (2), Ross County (2), Kilmarnock (1), St mirren (1) & Dundee United (1).

Squads change, players leave (whether the club wants them to or not) but the dons plough on.

Given my reputation it may seem strange to see me say this but get a grip some of ya.

Rather than panicking about the players who have left, why not concentrate on supporting the players who have arrived, or perhaps even the players we already have?

McInnes has hinted that the cash from Rooney may allow for 2 more players so lets see what he can do

the thing is where did May and Gosgroves goals come from? Natural goal scorers are a rarity so good luck DM
  11. Gutted Rooneys left, awful business by the club. All this all he does is scores tap ins and penalties.... :hammer: :hammer: goal scorers score fuckin goals. Now we don’t have any goal scorers. What  the fuck is all that about? Unless McLnnes has this covered it’s a big fuck up by the club.

  12. Aye, it's an interesting one. Fit's everybody's take on fit the team should be?

    I'm going:

    ---------------Lewis---------------------

    Ball---Arnason---McKenna---Considine

    ---------O'Connor---Christie------------

    McGinn--------Stewart------------GMS-

    ------------------May--------------------

I think Nwakali is pap (despite being okay in one game) and Christie is probably more likely to do as he's told in a role that requires discipline. That is (obviously) the biggest worry though, that's a very weak midfield. It is a very strong attacking midfield though too, so it might just work out nicely.

    Edit: great minds Jute.

Christie isn't disciplined enough to play a deeper role, he is too greedy and will lose the ball too often. In saying that the team will look unbalanced whatever side he plays.

  13. We have a much better chance of winning this because McLean's out.

Hopefully now, someone in midfield will actually give Stevie May the ball when he makes those runs.

3-0 - Stevie May hat trick.

Then leave McLean out for the final.

 are these the runs he makes when he takes his eyes off the ball turns and runs into the defender before falling on his arse.

He was better against St Johnstone but in general he has been utter shite.

  14. How far up are ye spikken aboot? wisnae the Swan Bar was it?

Swan was near the centre wis it nae?

Mates o mine used tae work near Kittibrewster, they used to hae a drink in that bar efter work.

Wis somewhere between the top end o George Street and the 524 if I mine right.

  15. Well to give it its proper title

    The 524 cocktail lounge.

    Is it still open?

I went for a pint 2-3 years back, waiting for a carry out to be ready, they were actually pretty friendly.

Na, nae The 524, its still open.

It was further up on the same side, think it was still open in the earlie eighties.

Annoying the fuck oot o me now.

  16. ah memories........

as a neep one of my first memories of drinking establishments would be The Station Hotel in Udny.

Lived nae far and the family would all go on a Saturday night.

Started aff in the lounge then the younger ains wid heid through to the duncing as the night progressed.

I wis only aroon 14-15 so jist found myself a seat and watched as things progressed.

If there wisna a fight the night wid be classed as a let doon.

As i got older we moved to the Brig a Don, Black Dog (Cammys :o) wis ma local for aroon 20 years, wid also frequent The Corner Hoose (Brig Inn), Don View (nae much) and off course The Mabel Leaf (Parkway) which at times wis a bit like the gunfight at the OK Coral.

Tobys and The Mains came later.

Sunday efternoon wis a bit of a challenge as all the pubs shut 12:30, transport wis then required tae get us to tae The Whitecairns or now and then The Cove Bay Hotel.

Gettin hame wis always a carry on as the driver wid get bored and fuck off after a while.

Many a day/night doon the harbour (Neptune & Pegusus, St Clements, Crows Nest, Peep Peeps, Cutters Wharf,Glenlivet, Yard Arm, Regent Bridge, Crown & Anchor, Harbour Bar, Sir Laffalots, Drift Inn) sadly mostly gone now.

Up the toon Ruffles wis a favourite o mine, liked The Venue and mest boozers along Market Street.

There used to be a boozer at the top of George Street, on the left if yer heiding into toon, canna mine the name.

Couldna see in the windows, strange looking place.

  17. What about his complete inability - for both sides - to count/pace out ten yards? He didn't make any horrendous decisions, but he was just generally incompetent. He'd fucked up something if there was anything to fuck up.

forgot about the free kick thing tbf, never marked the ground for one in the second half for some reason.

the standard of Refs in the SPL is poor in general, maybe i was being kind due to the comfortable win.
