Off topic: But the forum admin may wish to know that I was disgracefully denied the ability to post until I uploaded a profile picture. Wouldn't let me go anywhere on the forum until it was done.
Eventually I have relented, but if Miovski or Duk or a potential new signing is trying to access the forum they may not have a profile photo to hand and then what?
My thoughts exactly.
Imagine a wavering Teklic comes here just to quickly check Panda is happy before signing on the dotted line, hits the profile image page, thinks "but what if I put up a poorly judged image, or its the wrong kind of sheep?", self-doubt creeps in, he's up all night researching the differences between a cheviot and a scottish blackface, and in the morning high on caffeine and sleep deprivation his normally sound judgement goes out the window and he collapses in a heap of despair on the quilted floor of his opulent first floor library screaming "I can feel the weight of my own insignificant mortality crushing me under the towering edifice of the complexity of the universe and I no longer comprehend if we have a purpose in this life or if the concept of fate is simply a random pinwheel in the blackness of the abyss, so fuck it I'll sign for Borussia Mönchengladbach instead".
Manc, I'm blaming you if this happens.

Seems Aberdeen is not immune to this ransacking of Scottish teams - rumours this morning that Saudi outfit Al-Hemmin have approached Aberdeen regarding Anthony Stewart for a "low seven figure sum".
Saudis seem determined to snap up all our best talent.

Anyone with some free time and in need of a laugh head o'er to Jambos Kickback and in particular this thread which despite being about their Summer 2023 has pretty much been dedicated to discussing the merits of our signings
I mean, I suppose they need to talk about something.

I expect a Shinnie in 31 minutes time or else this pram is losing all its toys.

Not going to be a popular view and no real grounds to justify it, but can't help but feel this might be one that got away
Does seem a shame, he clearly had the potential to become the new Mikey Devlin.

Al will be able to tell us about the last time we managed this.
Thought Al had stopped going to games by then?

Look doesn't matter what I say I'm going to always be wrong in the eyes of you guys. I'll just leave you to your bullying private gentleman's club I've honestly had enough of the crap.
Hemmin, don't let the internet get to you, it's a bugger for stripping out the nuances of human conversation
I think your question around which metrics by which the club should prioritise tickets when demand outstrips supply is a valid area of debate.
To my eyes the club only really has access to 3 potential ones:
- Financial contribution (season tickets, shareholders, donors etc)
- voluntary contribution (volunteering, supporters clubs etc)
- attendance (and there may be practical issues with measuring this for season tickets)
The key question is how to weight these to be fair across fans - which I think was at the heart of your point, and the only way to resolve that is gathering opinions, yours included.

Welcome to Aberdeen F.C
Ester Sokler
9 goals in his last 12 games, 1 goal in the 18 before that.
Hoping he isn't the Slovenian Sam Cosgrove.

Man City win Champions League - turns out money can actually buy you everything. When does the FFP judgement come in?

A fantastic leader, yes but he doesn't create anything, is not some brilliant passer of the ball and does not score many goals.
I find this a strange statement. A "fantastic leader" drives the other players to higher levels of creativity, passing, goalscoring (and defending, concentration, motivation). He's the catnip of the squad and it's been pretty evident we are less effective as a team without him.

Hearts announce Naismith as manager except he’s not the manager. They have had to name him as technical director as he does not have his UEFA coaching qualifications and cannot manage in Europe.
Hearts confirming today his full title is Technical Hitch Director

Stephen Glass.
What we need is someone with Glass's eye for a player, Goodwin's defensive stability, Robson's experience, and McInnes's gungho do-or-die attacking attitude.
