  1. never mind, all this talk of McKenna to either of the cheeks means that Considine can easily fit into a central role alongside Devlin.

Shinnie back to LB and the new midfielders that are supposedly part of the deal can fight it out among themselves for a starting place.

Sooner this window shuts the better.

  2.

While I am on the subject, why is BT Sport getting more like Rangers TV in their coverage of Sevco for a so called neutral Sport provider.

This happens every time Sevco play on TV regardless of who they are against (apart from Celtic).

Total disrespect for other clubs in the SPFL especially when you consider ALL matches on BT Sport cover Sevco or Celtic away from home every week for live TV.

It's why I'll not part with the best part of 25 quid to watch BT Sport, just to watch the usual sycophantic glasgow based pish. Huns/Tims on every week, fat Ally as a pundit, nah, you're OK.

I take it that BT must have exclusive rights to the league cup this year do they? Couldn't see any highlights on BBC (although in fairness I was pretty pished by the time I got home on Saturday)

  3. That first 45 was as accomplished a performance as i can remember seeing, my only gripe being i had +4.5 goals on todays game.

There were no failures today. everyone played with a freedom and confidence that looked lovely to watch. That is the way to set up against 75% of the teams we will face this season and we will be unplayable if we do.

the manager set it up right, the players player it right and if anyone still has an issue with anything from today, then seriously, get fucked.

  4. Not liking the soundbites coming from the club around Shinnies new contract.

Generally we don't air our laundry in public, so stating how it would put Shinnie right up there with the highest paid sounds to me as though the club are setting the groundwork to be able to say "at least we tried"

  5. All widely reported at the time of their signings. Hayes is on £6k/week. Of course it could be bullshit but the press can get access to company accounts detailing who gets paid what fairly easily so on this one I trust their info.

I was all for signing Christie earlier in the year till I found out his wages. I stick to my assertation. He won't be joining us anytime soon unless he is prepared to take a big old hit in the pocket. He can get at very least an equivalent paying contract that he is on now at a Barnsley or similar......

Allan is doable. I was certain he was Hivs bound but apparently not.

Everything is strategically placed bullshit by percentage based agents hoping to inflate a players earning capability and thus their cut on any move.

  6. £22 for my ticket in the Merkland end for a league cup game, at that prices I don't imagine a great crowd.  I'm sure it used to be £15 previous seasons.

I listened to the St-Midden game on Sunday and their defence seemed very suspect, I would have two up front for this one and go for goals.

4-0 to us, Shay to mark his comeback with the opener then a debut hat-trick for Wilson.

    COYR

What makes a league cup game any less significant than a league game? I'd certainly not be expecting to pay any less for this one and folk using that as an excuse not to go (not that I'm saying you have) need to wise up.

Certainly looked quite sparsely populated when I booked my tickets.

On a side note - why all paper tickets for this one? After the shambles against the hun I presume they've still lost the ability to load this game onto my card.

  7. to be honest, what's the point of trying to second guess these corrupt bastards anyway?

Suspensions upheld, suspensions rescinded, docking teams 2 points because it fits into a prearranged "decider" schedule (Hearts), not following up the throwing of an elbow...we'll get fucked over, others don't. It's the way it is and we just have to doff our caps, mumble "thank you very much sir" and be on our way.

  8. we'd be raging if one of the cheeks signed our hottest prospect in years and a tribunal only gave us a pittance.

which is normally exactly what they do.

Is it not a calculation based on age, years of development etc?

Just because the cash giddy guffy hoors pay stupid money for somebody it doesn't mean that then sets the bar for all future transfer activity.

  9. fuck Salford and all those who sail in her.

A sign of how absolutely fucked and cash dependant the English game is. May they languish in the lower leagues and may those ex Man Utd players spunk a load of their cash on it.

  10. Depends on the boys attitude.

He will either see this as a way to put himself in the shop window over the course of the season or he'll mope about how his career has gone from "promising youngster" to "serial loanee" over his time at Man Utd.

We have had a fair few players over the years that only ever pulled their fingers out of their arse in their last contracted season, so let's hope this is the springboard for Wilson to go on a goal scoring frenzy.

  11.

Oh.... did I mention before, we must try and sign Christie from Celtic.

I take it they never did offer Christie the new deal that the press were on about while he was with us...just around the time his form dipped if I remember correctly. Pricks.

  12. Clancy is doing Thistle vs Falkirk this weekend which I've seen folk say is due to how he refereed our game but I think they just get rotated about don't they?

Collum & MacLean were doing Championship games last weekend I think.

the way I interpreted it, it's the linesman that isn't getting a gig this weekend....that will be the linesman that flagged up the incident and advised Clancy.

  13. that's just mental and will just add fuel to the "refs are against us" fire that the huns have adopted.

So, in essence, from our last two league games against both cheeks, it's OK to kick out at a player off the ball, it's Ok to launch the ball at an opponents head, but it's really really wrong to applaud in front of weedgie supporters because that will get you a three match ban. Scottish football can be really confusing.

  14. The rabid halfwits still seem convinced that McKenna should have been sent off for those particularly fearsome shoulder barges, Ball should have been sent off for the life threatening brush against Windass and that May should have walked for the challenge on Jack.

Some of the really stupid ones also claim that GMS that should been sent off for throwing the ball at some hun in a show of petulance.

Half of this pish wouldn't have even crossed their inbred minds had the scouse twat not spouted off about how unfair life is.

  15. I honestly thought this was a pisstake when I saw it, but todays evening express online is running the following tale of horror from the weekend

Rangers’ fans kicked north-east boy’s sand castle

A north-east dad has hit out after “Rangers fans” kicked over his three-year-old son’s sandcastle.

David Officer, 37, from Stonehaven, said his in-laws had had an unpleasant run-in with supporters of the Glasgow team, who had stopped off in the seaside town.

He said: “One of the Rangers supporter buses stopped in Stonehaven on Sunday and their fans went down to the beach where my eldest son and his grandparents were.

“They shouted at my father-in-law and then kicked my son’s sandcastle over before they left.

“I’m more annoyed for my father-in-law and mother-in-law who had to deal with it.

“The beach is a great place for kids to go and spend time.

“My son wasn’t affected by it, but I just don’t get it. I don’t see the point in all of that. It’s just not something you do.

“I know all clubs have their fair share of idiots – but it does seem like you tend to hear more of this behaviour from Rangers fans.

“And my father-in-law is a Rangers fan, so I’m not just picking on them.

“I wish something had been done – maybe more policing among themselves – like not letting them back on the bus until they apologised or help rebuild the sandcastle.”

Police Scotland’s local area commander Chief Inspector Martin Mackay said officers had made attempts to track down the supporters responsible for the incident.

“Officers in Stonehaven were made aware of a minor incident yesterday morning involving a handful of men who we believe to be football fans that had stopped off in the town for a short time on their way to the game.

“A unit was despatched and searches made, however they had already left the area.

“Incidents like this may be low-level in nature and very rare, however they are completely unacceptable and unwanted in any of our communities.”

Councillor Sarah Dickinson, who represents the Stonehaven and Lower Deeside ward, admitted she was shocked when she heard of the incident.

She said: “It’s just plain bad behaviour. I’m shocked anybody would behave in that way, especially a child. I hope it’s an isolated incident.”
