Hibs - Dons

Nothing other than a must win game can be used to describe this. Our form is atrocious, hibs are, well Hibs, so who knows what the result will be. Likely a draw at best, at worst a loss.  Can't see us winning there unless our new signings somehow manage to gel instantly.  I know we're trying to get Kamberi's paperwork sorted in time for this.  We need to win this to keep Livi (sigh) at bay, as they're now only 5 points behind us and given our tendency to draw, they'll close that gap fairly rapidly.  Hoping that Lewis' apparent massive drop in form is temporary, is the captaincy too much pressure for him?  Fergie's post match interview the other day was very good, i'd be happy with him being given the captaincy for the remainder.  Whilst he's a bit of a hot head at times, we need someone with drive to kick the arse of others.

Really need to win this one. If we lose we are probably looking at 4th at best. If Taylor is out would be tempted to go to back 4 with Logan at right back and Hayes at left back to avoid allowing Boyle getting to roast Leigh. If Hedges is out we really are lacking any creation in the team. Might see McGeouch playing beside McCrorie with Ferguson being pushed further forward to try and support Hornby or Kamberi if his paperwork is through. Cannot believe there are folk talking of dropping Lewis. He did make an error last night but he is still a really good keeper.  The only constant this season is Hibs being inconsistent. They are favourites for Saturday which is when they usually fuck up.

oot but almost close enough to be in.

1-1 Ferguson.

I’ll assume Taylor & Hedges are available.

                    Lewis

      McCrorie Hoban Considine

Kennedy Ferguson McGeouch Hayes

                    Hedges

             Kamberi Hornby

2-1 Hibs: Boyle (2), Ferguson pen for us.

£15 for the Hibs PPV. Bit on the expensive side but probably cave in and buy it.

Hedges likely out for the season.

Fuck sake. Add a couple of years to his contract while he's feeling down about it.

As long as it is a condition that he gets a proper mans haircut then fine with this.

'Sake min. For all Deeks deserved criticism, getting a run of games with the same lineup's been almost impossible this season with injuries, departures and suspensions. Wonder what the tombola conjures up the morn.

 Take a draw - Hibs 1 - Dons 1

Taylor starts which is a surprise.

Richard Gordon hinting in the P and J,(and later on Sportsound)that lose today, and McInnes could be a goner.Be surprised if so,but...

Nae sure of the above line up Back 3 again? 4-5-1?

Looks 4-5-1 to me.

Yep, it'll be a 4-5-1, changing to a 4-3-3. Bet he'll play Hayes and Kennedy on the wrong wings.

That goes without saying. Looks like plan is to get crosses into a striker who says his strength is ball to feet.

Leigh off injured after 5 minutes. Got his feet all wrong trying to clear and injured himself.

hornby looks miles off it, maclennan is hopeless, Mcgeoch looking ok

collum fanny

has mclennan collum just ended mcinnes's dons career?

unfair to mclennan

Never a penalty.

dire stuff

Awful. Any time we get the ball we just belt it long. Clearly a team with zero confidence. Unfair to judge Hornby, service is terrible.

hopeless passing crossing

Even with three new strikers, nothing would suggest we are going to score another goal this season.

I don't know why I bother watching this turgid shite.  Sacked in the morning yer getting sacked in the morning.

Only positive has been McGeoch, who has actually passed forwards. Otherwise, same shit different week. Looks like the tactics that haven't worked in months still don't work. Imagine that ?‍♂️

Only seen a little bit but there seems to be a massive gap in terms in intensity from both teams.
Hibs actually want the ball whereas with the Dons it seems to be 'oh hes got it, phew, right ill take a breather.

It reminds me to a time when my regular 5s team lost most of our regular players due to work or family commitments etc and those of us who remained ended up playing with randoms picked up through hopeful facebook/ twitter posts, and/or picked for us by powerleague to ensure the game went ahead.
It would take about 10mins before the randoms essentially gave up and by the second half the opposition had set up a shooting gallery infront my goal while their keeper checked his phone. Had the 'goalies can only throw the ball to their team mate' rule not existed he probably wouldnt have put his phone down.

Still at least Basil Brush turned up at half time. Maybe the Dons can bring him on in the second half
