I think when it first came out a free football top was part of the deal but that got stopped. Would that be right? You still get a top and a gift pack with some stuff from the shop. There are other incentives but only if you are able to get to the stadium which I guess they are hoping will save money as a lot can't. I do it mainly to help the youth development but it seems to be getting wasted elsewhere. (Dodgy loan deals). 2 Quote
swaddon Posted Wednesday at 22:31 Report Posted Wednesday at 22:31 They did say when it launched that the money would be going to youth development. So I've been subsidising the huns who took Barron (did they even pay for him in the end?) and Wright. I think I will bin it off as well. 1 Quote
wee toon red Posted 16 hours ago Report Posted 16 hours ago (edited) For several reasons I can't get to Pittodrie all that often so DNA is my way of contributing to the club. I decided to do that as a show of support and, to me, that support isn't contingent on who the chairman is, who the manager is or who we sign players on loan from. I supported the Dons long before Milne or Cormack were involved, I've endured countless dross managers and players and enjoyed one or two insane highs that pretty much make being a Dons fan worthwhile. I also plan on doing all that after Milne and Cormack are long gone. My contribution is a show of support for the entity that is Aberdeen FC, not any individual. Each to their own but for those reasons, DNA still works for me. Edited 16 hours ago by wee toon red 1 Quote

Bugger that for a game of battleships. Quote

It's a real shame that a separate entity hadn't been created to collect DNA money, that polled its funds and bought shares to collectively press the club in how it was being run. That'd have been a far better way to support the club in my opinion. 1 Quote

At the moment DNA is all there is - other than buying what would be a redundant season ticket - so that's what gets my money. And my daughter enjoys the "free" strip 1 Quote
Slim Posted 15 hours ago Report Posted 15 hours ago Don't have an issue with it, but from a personal point of view couldn't get past the ask to donate money to a private company owned by significantly wealthy people. Quote
