Return to league business with an early chance to get Wednesday's defeat out of the system. Hopefully a wake up call delivered that we cannot afford to take any game lightly. Assuming Shinnie is out would expect Quinn to come in at centre half and Considine to move to left back. Hayes coming back in to midfield maybe lessens a little the potential loss of Shinnie.

I've just taken that as a given these days.

 

It was ever thus.

 

The north east has its own idiosyncrasies and its own brand of knobbishness but football attracts a lot of knobs, the tartan army being particularly concentrated.

 

It's the tribalism that attracts, the feeling of belonging. When you're all or a combination of fat, ugly and stupid and generally so unattractive that you don't belong to anything, investing in a football shirt and going to games gives meaning to an otherwise empty life. Knowledge of the game rarely accompanies these sad fucks because they've never earned it through personal experience, having come to the game for the wrong reasons.

Recall an exodus of these types at a sevco game back in 1999 as the horde went 2-0 up within 12mins. They missed the dons comeback including Jess's passback freekick goal
