Vernon plays as a striker, top scorer for two seasons. Gets played in midfield, scores a couple of goals and gets massive abuse. Comes on as striker for two subs appearances, four goals. Gets played in left midfield, doesn little and gets hooked at ht... Am I missing the point as to why this guy isnt playing up front and being told to just get in the box and score?? He seems fucking good at it when given a decent chance.

And sounds like Pawlett and Jack have been two of the better midfielders in the SPL this year, throw in Smith and Hayes from tonight and Robson Flood etc. Why the fuck are we missing these people out by punting it to Zola?? Makes no sense to me. Just incredibly frustrated, we could've and should've been dominant tonight, started off so well then the long balls and the fouls by Zola broke up the game and let them settle and get into it.

Not sure what McInnes was trying to achieve tonight. Alarming that he decided to repeat Browns mistake of playing Vernon in midfield to accommodate the donkey up front. Even more alarming that he took Vernon, who had scored 4 in last two games, off at half time yet left the donkey, who has managed 1 in 9, on. Very poor judgement on his behalf to say the least. Looked a completely different team to the one that played at Falkirk with none of quick passing football on display tonight. Players all seemed to want to take extra touches of ball or slow the play down instead. That's us dropped 5 points against the bottom two which is not what you would expect from a team that has ambitions of challenging at top end of the table.

Played him in midfield when he came on against ICT too.

Not heard a player (Zola) being subbed off being cheered so loudly for a while. Was sailing towards a red card and had done absolutely nothing all game - how he got hooked at HT and Vernon did is unfathomable.

It's good to see we've got a new boo boy in the team

Fairly poor performance after a really bright start. McInnes set the team up wrong. Apparently he's acknowledged his mistake but it was clearly a mistake that should never have been made.

By the way.. hiya.

Well, if he's put his hands up fair enough but the truth is we've got 1 point out of 6 against the bottom 2. That's not great.

Not trying to make excuses and not trying to be overly pedantic, but strictly speaking Farts are only bottom of the league on account of no longer being able to cook the books, so in truth you could argue we have taken four points out of six against the bottom two. Still not good enough, and no point in taking six out of six against Well & ICT and not beating the likes of Helen

He wasnt booed he was cheered  ;) - and I would say more aimed at McInnes rather than Zola.

I think we just have to take every game as it comes

Yeh it was disappointing to not win, especially after the high of Falkirk but we are still creating chances, came back from being a goal down and could have nicked it at the end

Dunno why tbh that the team that finished the game last Wednesday night didn't start but lets hope Zola misses the team bus to Dingwall and we get back to playing some silky soccer
