Ajja Posted April 30 Report Posted April 30 I’m only there because there isn’t enough chat in here . When you find you were responsible for the last 3 posts in a thread you start to realise you might be having a conversation with yourself and need to find new avenues. Quote

Mason89 Posted May 1 Report Posted May 1 The folk that executed Jean Charles de Menezes, strip searched school kids, employed Wayne ‘The Beast’ Couzens & David Carrick, secretly filmed arrested women in the toilet & ripped the pish out of murdered sisters in a group chat, want the Green Party to turn it down a notch 2 Quote

Like @manc_don says, Facebook and the likes still have people posting away. But my point was, 90% of what is being posted wouldn't make it past drafts if you thought the target of your abuse was going to be able to identify you at the next home game. Quote

TheDonbytheDee Posted Thursday at 06:00 Report Posted Thursday at 06:00 Well election day today. No idea how it is going to turn out, but I still don't think the SNP will be in power after the counting is finished and not convinced they will do well, even though the polls suggest otherwise. I took down my note on the front door, asking political parties not to knock and 30 minutes after I got a knock on the door from the SNP. I also got stopped by a Tory in Westhill yesterday, when I was out for my lunchtime walk. I was civil enough, but he knows he won't be counting on my vote. Quote

Mason89 Posted Thursday at 07:00 Report Posted Thursday at 07:00 SNP will fall short of a majority Jackie Baillie will lose her seat Tories and Labour will become an irrelevance and then come to the conclusion it’s because they weren’t right wing enough Scotland, Wales & N. Ireland will be ran by parties that want to break up the Union. England will have an English nationalist party running riot. Unionists won’t give a fuck Quote
Ajja Posted Thursday at 07:19 Report Posted Thursday at 07:19 (edited) I have a feeling SNP will get a majority, despite the fact the Scottish system is deliberately engineered for this not to occur. Labour will be decimated to the benefit of the Greens. Every young person I know is voting Green. Tories same to Reform. Hopefully enough people vote tactically to keep the right away in as many places as possible but I do worry. I was reading some stuff about Rupert Lowe the other day. Nice to see that Reform is eating itself up through its own arsehole and he has created a new party called Restore to dilute the right wing party, who diluted the right wing party. Mason89 Posted Thursday at 07:52 Report Posted Thursday at 07:52 The Restore Party is just Reform on steroids. I know I go on about it but the mistake Rupert is making, is that he thinks Facebook bots are real. His pages have thousands of him praising his common sense policies He’s a senile racist wanker. 2 Quote

But if he thinks they're real, then so do his voter and potential voter base. Those Facebook bots will still gain him votes. That's why they exist. Quote

They will confuse the dribbling idiots but not in the numbers he needs. At best he’ll split the dribbling idiot vote, which is nice Quote
Ajja Posted Thursday at 17:54 Report Posted Thursday at 17:54 (edited) The splitting of the vote is the key gain. Also potentially taking Nigel out of the limelight for a nanosecond would be good. loonies on the right are also good for brand trashing Edited Thursday at 17:54 by Ajja Quote

You'd like to think so but I doubt it. The internet seemingly used to be the place to post stuff you wouldnt shout in a crowded place. Its becoming the place you post videos of yourself saying those things in public to pick up 'likes' and the occasional few quid from youtube Quote

TheDonbytheDee Posted Friday at 04:26 Report Posted Friday at 04:26 Looks like Labour are sinking in England and they have apparently already conceded defeat in Wales. Could be a tough day ahead for Starmer. I wonder who will be out defending him on the media rounds. Quote
Ajja Posted Friday at 05:40 Report Posted Friday at 05:40 Huge challenge for Labour but could see the demise of the Tories as a credible party. 1 Quote

Kowalski Posted Friday at 06:17 Report Posted Friday at 06:17 Local elections used to be what they said on the tin, but now they seem to be about the national picture. Load of bollocks really. Long gone are the days when a good independent candidate could get in because they knew how to get a library re-opened or sort out the pot holes in your area. As for Reform, they have a horrific record running some councils in England but still the happy clappers are voting for them. Right wing media is hugely complicit in this. 2 Quote
