I work in Scotland where your job application gets binned depending on what school you went to.

I just saw the above post today.

With the oil industry in Aberdeen going down the tubes and Labour promised renewables jobs not materializing, I applied for a new job about a month ago with a well known company and was asked following.

If I went to a State or Public School (State)

If I received Free School Meals (Yes)

What were the occupations of my Mother and Father. (Fish Filleter and Trawlerman)

I had been asked questions like this before years ago, when I applied for the Civil Service, but was a bit taken aback to be asked them by a large private company in 2026.

Needless to say I didn't get the role.

Life experience is valuable but you can’t argue the numbers.

Not in this parish it doesn't and we can thank the lord for that.

We don't do religion up here.

Name the company then, so that we can avoid them. They sound like a right bunch of numpties.

"Iran, which is being beat to HELL, has apologized and surrendered to its Middle East neighbors, and promised that it will not shoot at them anymore. This promise was only made because of the relentless U.S. and Israeli attack. They were looking to take over and rule the Middle East. It is the first time that Iran has ever lost, in thousands of years, to surrounding Middle Eastern Countries. They have said, “Thank you President Trump.” I have said, “You’re welcome!” Iran is no longer the “Bully of the Middle East,” they are, instead, “THE LOSER OF THE MIDDLE EAST,” and will be for many decades until they surrender or, more likely, completely collapse! Today Iran will be hit very hard! Under serious consideration for complete destruction and certain death, because of Iran’s bad behavior, are areas and groups of people that were not considered for targeting up until this moment in time. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

President DONALD J. TRUMP".

Looks like he’s upset the special relationship with the UK this evening, so Farage has went to kiss the ring

Im pretty sure Clackton remains a shite hole

Common denominator between Trump and Farage. Jewish masters.

Makes me laugh that all the "patriots" worship Farage but his loyalty lies with his bank, Israel and the USA. Tommy Robinson is the same.

I don't like Starmer at all but his actions have been more patriotic than those that would consider themselves to be true blue union flag waving Uber Brits. They clearly want us to behave like America's little lapdog rather than a proud British bulldog. Confused bunch.

I'm afraid it does.

Well it did I've been away for a while. I have witnessed it firsthand at a couple of the larger oil service companies. The Northeast doesn't do sectarian sh1te but plenty of senior managers and recruiters are from the central belt.

Tony Blair having a pop at Starmer for not backing America in their latest war.

Blair would do or say anything to appease the yanks.

Things can only get better right enough.

It's a jew thing. The yanks and Blair are in their pocket.

So because of Trump and his diversionary and cowardly attack on Iran (not forgetting the Jews taking the opportunity to steam the Lebanon) the price of heating oil (kerosine) in Aberdeenshire has gone up from about 65p a litre to £1.45 a litre.

Just part of the collateral damage being paid by the British people. Wait a month or so and some of the newly displaced people will start arriving on their dirigibles. Farage's monkeys won't like that one bit but it's being caused by their great hero from across the pond, Donald effin' Trump.

Yet you'll still get all the right wing stooges wanting us to back the yanks to the hilt just because of a very one-sided and to my mind fictitious "special relationship".

What's patriotic about getting dragged into a conflict not of our making that will do harm to Britain?

Instead of wanting to be a proud British Bulldog the right seem happiest being a sniffling and subservient American Lapdog.

Brain-dead turds.

Aye, typically my heating broke down a few days before the invasion, so I took the gamble on not ordering oil until it was fixed (just in case it was something existential and I needed a new heating system). Gone from under £500, to over £1,000! The part for the boiler will be another week, so I'm gambling that it might go down in part by then and I'll be under £1000 again.

Something was going to give on heating oil at some point, so it's something I should be better prepared for, but I always take the "I'll think about it later" approach, so the US are only partly to blame!

Nah. The price went up by such a huge percentage this week specifically because of the knobs dropping bombs on Iran. It's 100% on them. You sound as if you can take the hit. A lot of people simply can't afford it. Just hope the snow and cold weather doesn't hit again.

Horrible bastards the yanks.
