Maguire was the worst Scotland player last night - he's miles off being in that team.

He was awful but to be fair he was probably really nervous as well.

He didn't exactly have much time to get into the swing of things to be fair. He's a bit too greedy to be effective in that team though.

I really wanted something to happen for him but he kept making the wrong choices, probably due to nerves and an over-eagerness to impress. He was on the right, on the left, through the middle, as said above, if he'd been given a bit longer and maybe a specific job to do he could have impressed more.

 

I hope he'll get another chance, but you have to say Scotland are getting a decent squad together and it will be hard for anyone (especially playing for unfashionable Aberdeen) to break into that team.
