I can't help but think that Milne will get a slightly easier ride now that he has changed the management team but we'll see what happens.  Hopefully some news on the funding for the new stadium.

There was a time when Aberdeen Corporation Transport ran a steady stream of busses from the Castlegate to Pittodrie and back after the match. No pick ups just there and back, and always full. It was a well drilled operation and it worked well. No reason why this cannot be resurrected.

 

One big reason. Pittodrie back to Castleback would be tolerable "dead" mileage, i.e. empty. Loirston back to the City is a different matter. As a commercial operation I doubt whether it would be viable.

I guess some independent operators might want to offer something, but doubt if Stagecoach or Firstbus would get involved. If they want to maximise attendances, then they've got to make it easy to get to, which is at least an advantage that Pittodrie has. I can see the Stoney buses getting packed, maybe they'll make a detour.

 

 

So much of this project is fantasy anyway that I'm surprised no one has said we'll solve the transport nightmare by flying to the ground in our individual jet-packs. Landing on the oversized helipad in front of our magical supporters bar to be greeted by beautiful models handing out complimentary pints and macaroni pies, before all being teleported to our choice of padded reclining chairs for those who want to sit, or bouncy castle terracing for those who want safe standing.
