  • I'm very glad that I can watch the Dons most weeks and then switch off to all other football (Scotland aside). I do watch the occasional game on the telly (rarely a whole game), mainly the BBC Friday

Am I right in thinking that every single Premiership team has taken something from Pittodrie this season - except Hearts? Had they won at Pittodrie earlier in the season, they'd already be champi

Farts and dhims drawing their respective games. I'm waiting for the last minute dhimdome penalty though...also, girfuy magoo

United quite detached now, 6 points behind Thistle. Also hibs now equal with the blue vermin, interesting how they cope with a bit of pressure, badly I hope.

Interesting to see how we cope with a bit more pressure tomorrow.  :dunno:

Good to see the arabs falling further behind

3 points from a possible 18 since mixu took over

these days they seem to collapse the moment they concede a goal.

Fairly straight forward for the league cup in england, all the premier league teams look likely to win.

Albion winning 5-0 against cumbernauld in the Scottish Cup.

Just sat through Reading v QPR game on Sky. To describe the game as fucking awful would be being kind. Even Sky clowns gave up trying to find something positive about the game. Championship really is the most over rated league.

Didn't watch it but it was on in the pub and I did notice that the grun appeared to be empty. Although Thursday night is an odd time for a domestic game these days!

Stoke up 2-0 at home to city, sounds like shaqiri has got to grips with the league now. Always rated him as a decent player.

Chelsea lose at home to Bournemouth. Got to think Jose needs to get things turned round sharpish if he is to keep his job into new year.

Mark Hughes is a very under rated manager.  Absolutely brilliant player, one of my favourites of all time, think he deserves more credit than he gets.

I'm with you on that one Bb, saw a few amusing sarcastic posts on twitter saying he was undoing all of pulis' good work and making them attractive to watch. Always Thought Hughes was harshly done by at city and glad that things seem to working out for him (finally).

If result go their way next weekend then Newcastle would be above Chelsea  :o

Certainly didn't see that result coming for them yesterday.

Ooft, United out of the chumps league and join the red team from the wrong end of the Mersey in the europa

Need to get themselves out of that pronto. EPL is so terrible that they may have a wee chance of winning it.

Does anyone remember in Fergie's last season (and a few before that too) how people were saying he had such an awful team but he'd invariably win the league or finish second? Well aye his team wasn't fantastic, but they were miles better than Moyes's shite and LVG's and he spent a fraction of what LVG has done.

If Ferguson had this opposition in the EPL he'd have it wrapped up in the next three weeks with a team that was basically De Gea, Vidic, Carrick and Hernandez and 7 lucky children from the poorer areas of Manchester.

Absolutely, i've seen a lot of fans saying the same thing on 5live.  If United are clever, they get knocked out of the Europa league and they could stroll to the title (possibly Leicester depending on whether they keep and strengthen their squad in January).  Fergie's last two teams were dire to watch but you knew they were capable, this lot, you definitely don't get that feeling.

Well Toon did their part today.

Six points against Liverpool & Spurs.

Just mental stuff.

Certainly didn't see that result coming for them yesterday.

Chelsea seem to be the new Liverpool this season, although klopp did provide a moment of amusement after they drew with the mighty West Bromwich :)

But well done Leicester, keep surprising folk and keep getting the results. Brilliant goals last night.

There's a lot of moaning, greeting and complaining being done by Man Utd fans. Booing at games etc yet as others in this thread have correctly pointed out the standard is low this year and Man Utd will still be amongst the favourites to win the league. Liverpool fans would kill to win the league playing shite football.

fairly satisfying weekend so far

4-0 dons

Tic Lose

Sevco lose

Hibs win

Arabs throw away another 2 points

Leicester win

Man U Lose

Unsurprisingly guardiola confirms he's leaving bayern at the end of the season with ancelotti taking over. Wonder which Manchester club he'll end up at.

The technical level of skill being shown in this Arsenal Citeh first half hour is staggeringly good.

Phenomenal footballers. Fascinatingly poised.

Absolutely, even when it was a bit of a mess, the skill levels involved were very high. Two brilliant goals and another two assists from özil, who is an.absolute gem to the premier league. Quiet, unassuming but an assassin. Mangala is not a footballer though.

Some goal from Toure!

I've never watched Mangala so don't know enough about him to discuss but I'm presuming he's a stand-in for the injured Kompany, who I raved about in his first season in England.

Ozil was someone I thought would be a real coup for the gooners but someone I feel has had too many games where he's done fuck all. There is no doubting his incredible skill but I wonder about his heart, his ability to dig out performances when adversity is looking him in the eye? Didn't Mourinho marginalise him at Madrid for a while, perhaps for the same reason?

The fact that there were so few mistakes in the first half hour, so many great supporting runs, the ball was being zipped about at pace, being instantly controlled almost ALL of the time was astonishing and a joy to watch, despite very few chances being created. Then it exploded with a fantastic Walcott strike.

I'm surprised both teams aren't doing better. The standard on show was infinitely better than Leicester Chelsea the week before, although that plus this are the only two full EPL games I've bothered to watch for ages. Wenger will never have a better chance than this season.
