In honour of the Netherlands playing tonight, who is the best Dutch player Aberdeen have had?

Torn between Gillhaus and snelders. Think Gillhaus shades on account he never played for the filth.

Yep, Theo or Hans.

 

Opted for Theo in the end as he was simply outstanding for the majority of his time at Pittodrie.

Theo was the best servant to us, Gillhaus was the most talented.

I plumped for Snelders.

Voted for Hans in the end but Theo is also way up there also.

Toughy but went for Snelders ahead of Gillhaus. Theo Then Caat was a hugely talented player IMO.

Despite later turning into a minky hun bastard, it's got to be Theoooo!

Loved watching him play, and only wish we had a couple of his calibre at the club these days!

 

(A goalkeeper as good as Theo would also be most welcome, mind! Shame he blotted his copy-book by going to Snake Mountain - I'm still petty enough to hold that against players!)

Went for Snelders as well but was a close call.

Struggled between Snelders and Gillhaus, like everyone else.

 

Went for Theo in the end as I always liked his 'Nozzing Seelee' shouts at corners and the like.

 

Such a simple instruction, so often ignored...

 

Gillhaus for me.  Superb player, wish he'd stayed with us longer.

Voted for Gillhaus as the  Hans that did scoring made TBR happy on many occasions

As someone else said, Theo provided a more consistent and solid stint for the club but Hans lit the place up in a way that few have done before and none after.

Most skillful Hans most consistent Theo but hans shades it just for me.

Theo for me as he had such a hard act to follow when Jim Leighton left and did a marvelous job of making us forget Jim. Gillhaus was excellent though.

I watched the youtube clip of that match at EEP, it was ace and i just wish i was born then.

It is no competition in my eyes.

When you consider the what Theo had to follow, to come in and win the awards in his first year say it all really. Interesting to see all the Dutch players we've signed over the years. Interesting, in my humble opinion behind Theo and Gillhaus our third best signing from Dutch football was that popular scouser known as Paul Mason
