I'm fully aware I'm getting more cranky with each birthday that passes by but surely my latest peave is justified.

Went to get a ticket for the Livingston Friday night game.  £3.50 to have it posted or £2.50 to collect it from Pittodrie.

No thanks.

 

Nothing to do with postage costs, but this seems like a safe place to rant.

I want to buy tickets for the Hearts game in RDL. You can actually see the whole pitch there, it's a great novelty you don't get in many other parts of the stadium. But you can't get four tickets together because it's sought after, due to being able to see the pitch, which I guess is a good thing.

So we'll probably have to go to RDU, where the goal line is slightly obscured, yet the tickets are more expensive. If I'm getting a shitter view I want a cheaper price to pay.

And that leads me onto my second moan.

I want to buy tickets for the back row, so we can stand without someone behind us asking us to sit down (no I'm not going to the red shed, I'm RDU until I die/move stadiums).

They do this all the fucking time - leave the back five rows empty until the last minute.

What's the point? Just open the back rows so I can buy four tickets. Waste of everyone's time.

Is it possible to buy more than 1 ticket for a game using your own account?

Ove only ever had to buy for myself but my wee cousin is coming up from Englandshire and is keen for an awayday at Dens park. Assuming the game makes it to general sale id need an additional kids ticket but setting up an account for him to qualify seems a bit of a hassle

Im not overly fussed at postage costs if I have to go down the route of calling the ticket office.

In my profile, I still have family members and a couple of right fucking radges listed as contacts for whom I can purchase tickets.

Yes you need an account for each ticket, but you can do it online when buying the ticket. When assigning names you just select "add family member" and I'm sure that lets you create an account for them. If not, then just create an account before selecting the tickets.

Been a few years, but I did it for my dad without having to phone the ticket office. Unless the process has changed in recent seasons.

Why can't we just pay at the gate like the old days? I'm sick of having to buy stuff on the internet, it's just a pain in the neck.

Paying at the gate requires staff, who need to be paid.

Doing everything digitally doesn't, which saves cash.

Then people wonder why youth unemployment is so high.

When buying my league cup tickets, I went digital.

I honestly couldn't be arsed paying, or fighting not to pay, anymore.
