I notice the Greens want to make public transport free to everyone.

What sort of absolute madness is that.

Mind you that's probably one of their less freak inspired policies. 

I can't believe the media are bumming them up so much. They seem to be totally enthralled by the leader bloke with the Polish name.

They'll flop as usual.

There's a politics thread for this. Your use of the new thread button is getting out of hand. I'm not one that cares about such things, but I'd be surprised if you weren't well on your way to a final warning.

Unless I'm missing something I've only started two new threads in two of the three forums. A grand total of FOUR threads. So your use of the words "out of hand" is hysterical nonsense.

As for talk of a "final warning" you sound like you're hoping for it.

I have received no warnings at all and I'm not sure why you think I'd have received any as I'm polite and generally take great care not to antagonise. He gets a bit irate about new threads.

I reckon he just wants admin powers and then go full Trump when he does get them. Hitting us all with Tariffs.

We'll not go over the 'AFC Stuff/Brewdog' thread debacle from November.

Im all for it provided they dont play politics by deciding to just propose things without costing and change free to 'free at the point of service'.

Then perhaps balance things out making bus/ public transport 'not for profit' and use the extra revenew from Glasgow, Edinburgh etc to subcidise services in rural areas.

Of course they could also break the bullshit and and say ' right things in the sick little nimby island have gone seriously downhill since 2008.

You the voters have a choice. We carry on as we are with some people genuinly not knowing that the tax in yer pay cheque is for schools, hospitals, roads and so on (a real downer for me was a conversation I had with a much younger highly educated professional who had somehow gone through their adult life thinking income tax and national insurance was just something to pay the politicians.....well we had a tory government at the time so there is some merit) or we perhaps start emulating what those crazy Danes, Norwegians, Swedes etc have been doing. Start thinking as a society and not the Thatcherite ME ME ME

If a politician offers a tax cut start asking what that extra £6 a year in yer pocket will actually cost you (a school, hospital ward, dentist, GPs fire station, police station etc)

If a government tells you they will freeze council tax start actually ondering how the fuck yer local authority is going pay for things after 5 years of inflation.

In fact just forget the whole thing.

Country is fucked, everyone loves their own echo chamber so may as well throw ourselves in front of a local bus assuming they havent cut the service before you reach the pavement

Excellent use of an existing thread. Congratulations. Although it possibly all sits within the politics thread, or even a local council thread, but we can't have everything.

What are your actual thoughts on this hydrogen bus thing? Seems to me a case of them getting out while they can. Hydrogen for buses probably seemed like a reasonable bet at the time, despite the obvious issues. Where do you think the farce lies?
