Panda Posted May 5 Report Posted May 5 It's being played on Gothenburg Day. However, it's also being played 34 years to the day we needed a draw at Ibrox to win the league. Anyway... Was planning to go to this, but had a browse at the last remaining tickets there and it's £37 a pop. Can't be arsed paying that for a live TV game, when there's Tannadice and Hampden coming in the next few weeks. Barry Ferguson has to win either against us or Dundee United to avoid becoming the first Rangers manager in history to fail to win a home game. A win for us means we've got the better of them over the four games since, I dunno, probably some time ago. Do it for the poor fans who were there in 91. 1 Quote
Jute Posted May 8 Report Posted May 8 This is a as poor a Tribute Act team that I can remember seeing. Almost as poor as the predecessor club, that died in 2012, where in the early 80s. We should have a great chance of winning on Saturday although the dross I watched last Saturday has shaken my belief in that. If Jensen is fit would be tempted to drop Morris and play Jensen further forward with Devlin staying at right back. Would also start McGrath at 10 and move Keskinen back to wide left. Out for this as wife is working and not exposing an 11 year old to the “special atmosphere” created by blue orcs. Oot Flat Flat maybe pub Flat 1-1 McGrath Quote
tlg1903 Posted May 8 Report Posted May 8 Yeah, fancy us to win this one 2bh. After the ugly sister game last weekend they have zero to play for other than pride and given a lot of them know they won't be there next season I'm not sure how much of that they will have left. It would be particularly nice to get an early goal so the crowd turns on them and we can really go for the jugular. Quote
manc_don Posted May 8 Report Posted May 8 They always raise their game against us, and our form is patchy, so can't see us winning this one. Would love it to happen, but feels like we're not just there yet. I'd love to see us go for the jugular as you say tlg, but doesn't appear to be Thelin's way. Regardless, I think we need to test something different ahead of the final. Agree with Jute, Keskinen needs to play in his best position, on the left. McGrath seems to be a good pro and giving his best so may we well try and eek a bit more out of him. Out Bed Work Work 2-2, Keskinen and Nisbet. Quote
manc_don Posted Sunday at 09:37 Report Posted Sunday at 09:37 With the results yesterday, we really need to get something from this game. They are pish, like royally pish, so we really have no excuses. Quote
Panda Posted Sunday at 09:51 Author Report Posted Sunday at 09:51 Quite a few changes there. Dorrington not in the squad which suggests an injury, hopefully Tobers not rushed back too soon. Glad to see Polvara start. Dabbagh starting up front will be interesting. Quote
Jute Posted Sunday at 10:36 Report Posted Sunday at 10:36 Squad rotation due to three game this week? Quote
tlg1903 Posted Sunday at 11:09 Report Posted Sunday at 11:09 Mordor is half full, you can't walk away if you don't even bother going I suppose. Quote
OrlandoDon Posted Sunday at 11:43 Report Posted Sunday at 11:43 Started ok but fallen out of it. Rangers the better team just based on possession. We, much like a lot this season, cannot keep the ball, far too careless/clumsy. Rangers are poor and we’re not brave enough to take it to them. prob similar to last week? Dressers should have scored but not many chances so far. Quote
OrlandoDon Posted Sunday at 11:49 Report Posted Sunday at 11:49 Ffs. 1-0 right before HT, although var may disallow it. Too easy for rangers, we don’t have the stones for these games. Quote
OrlandoDon Posted Sunday at 11:52 Report Posted Sunday at 11:52 Rob McLean said it right there, massive opportunity because rangers aren’t very good. We’re not taking it, lack of real desire fight and passion for the game as far as I see. Do we want third?? dabbagh scores but clearly off, still 0-0. Quote
OrlandoDon Posted Sunday at 11:54 Report Posted Sunday at 11:54 0-0 at half, two poor team but rangers better so far. Rangers have missed two very good chances. One change at half please, Morris for okkels who has been very poor, maybe Jensen for devlin if he’s injured. Ambrose score the winner? Quote
Panda Posted Sunday at 12:05 Author Report Posted Sunday at 12:05 Decent first half. Hopefully hold onto the lead this time. Quote
Jute Posted Sunday at 12:05 Report Posted Sunday at 12:05 Been a brutal watch so far. We seem content to sit in and hope to sneak something on the break. Much like approach for the last 30 years there. Hardest part is they are not that good but we are showing no real intent to try and win the game. Quote
RicoS321 Posted Sunday at 12:06 Report Posted Sunday at 12:06 Got the time wrong for this one so missed the first half. Sounds like we're miles in top and the cheating establishment and their corrupt refs are preventing us from being 0-3 up. Quote
OrlandoDon Posted Sunday at 12:06 Report Posted Sunday at 12:06 It’s a game we need to win. Hoping we at least try to win it in the second half. Could be worst right now but I think the mentality is wrong. If leven goes to killie hoping we get an assistant with a bit more bite/passion, we lack that in our approach. Quote
Panda Posted Sunday at 12:07 Author Report Posted Sunday at 12:07 We're fine. We're actually missing Jensen pushing forward from right back. We can get in behind Rangers' high line if we put a few more quicker balls in, Devlin has actually slowed it down. But think Rangers have had one shot on target, and from long range. Quote

Panda Posted Sunday at 12:09 Author Report Posted Sunday at 12:09 Nisbet & Gueye on at half-time seems like we want more possession in Rangers half. Quote

Jute Posted Sunday at 12:15 Report Posted Sunday at 12:15 Much more positive start just as I have to leave pub to collect daughter. Typical. Quote
