If the attacker is in line with the defender it’s onside is my understanding. Even the lines drawn on the screen didn’t seem to match up because both lines would have ended up on top of each other. The line from the defender’s shoulder seemed to line up with Miovski’s cross-field line.

What’s the point in VAR if that’s upheld as offside? Clearly onside.

Which is far more exciting than our previous tactic of waiting for borderline boilers to finish doing the rounds of the whole town before eventually settling for us because we’re too scared to spread our wings beyond our own doorstep except for a fortnight in Magaluf every couple of years. I liked the bit about not being wedded to a particular system or formation. Set the team up in a way that suits the strengths of the players you have and limits exposing their weaknesses and the rest is down to man management. Makes more sense than anything Robson ever said.

Not that we ever looked particularly dangerous but the whole Barron/Mackenzie for Hayes/Jensen made little sense and we were completely impotent for the rest of the game. Macdonald for Rubezic was the icing on the cake.

They had seemingly made a lot of commitments to build community facilities in areas where they were building houses that they then couldn’t afford to proceed with (assuming they had every intention of doing so). Countesswells is one example I think.

True story - around the turn of the millennium someone on here took a dislike to me and posted a link to my Bebo page which contained an image of Neil Simpson winning a 50/50 against Ian Durrant.
