  1. The difference between the Sunderland offer and now is of course the timing, Sunderland speculation and then offer came in during the close season and The Rangers smack dab in the middle of it and I think its clear to see it has caused unrest in the team and of course the fans.

I think people are also looking too much in to Milnes comments the other week. At that point links with The Rangers and West Brom were speculation, there was nothing concrete on the table. Of course McInnes wasnt going to go into a meeting with the chairman and say 'Milne my man, I am leaving mate' with no other offers on the table.

  2. Hopefully The Rangers make their move early doors this week if they do want him so we can get line drawn under it all and so AFC can kick on and move on if need be.

Personally, if McInnes is to go then I am not even bothered about it to be honest, I think fresh ideas and a fresh approach would be a good thing for the club at the moment.

My only concern is the board. If The Rangers do come calling, will they hold firm and make sure we get the correct fee required for McInnes. Also will they get the next managerial appointment right if McInnes does leave.

  3. I think if The Rangers come calling, he may very well go. However I doubt they will come knocking, Dave King can crack all his piggy banks and I very much doubt they would even come close to the compensation needed to even talk to McInnes.

On a personal side you can see the appeal for McInnes, his family live outside of Glasgow, he has  a history with the club.

On the football side of things he would be making a huge mistake IMO if he leaves for The Rangers. Would he get the time to try and overcome Celtic?? I dont think so.

  4. A laboured win but a win none the less and it is good to kick the League season off with 3 points.

Wright was excellent I thought, he had a real willingness to have a run at at players and wasnt afraid to try something a little different to get passed them. This lad will be a real talent and I really hope he gets more game time this season.

I see a few Dons fans attacking Arnason, yeah he had a few dodgy touches, one of which did force Lewis in to a save, but I am not going to label the guy a failure just yet, I think he will come good, he just looked a little rusty yesterday.  O'Connor was outstanding aswell I thought, he seemed to have a couple of wobbles when Reynolds came on, who was a total bombscare when he did. I mean he headed the ball across his own goaline at one point. I still think another CB should be on the summer shopping list.

Tansey played well I thought, Shinnie unlucky to get booked so early on as that sort of stiffled him for the rest of the game.

Glad to see Storey score and he did take the goal well. Should have been on for Maynard a lot earlier in the game though, Maynard so far in my opinion has offered us nothing upfront, sure he may still be getting up to speed and I really hope that is the case. As it stands though, a new striker is a must, whether its Moult or May.

  5. GMS a fantastic buy in my opinion.

If Derek can get the same form that he showed at Dundee Utd then we have a real player on our hands and if we really only paid £150k, bargain!!

Latest media reports linking us with Arnason again and it seems Moult wants to move to us and has Motherwell to accept a bid from us if the money is right.
