The difference between the Sunderland offer and now is of course the timing, Sunderland speculation and then offer came in during the close season and The Rangers smack dab in the middle of it and I think its clear to see it has caused unrest in the team and of course the fans.

I think people are also looking too much in to Milnes comments the other week. At that point links with The Rangers and West Brom were speculation, there was nothing concrete on the table. Of course McInnes wasnt going to go into a meeting with the chairman and say 'Milne my man, I am leaving mate' with no other offers on the table.

I should have added that I hope Milne doesn't accept any form of installments for the compensation, money up front or no deal.

Hopefully The Rangers make their move early doors this week if they do want him so we can get line drawn under it all and so AFC can kick on and move on if need be.

Personally, if McInnes is to go then I am not even bothered about it to be honest, I think fresh ideas and a fresh approach would be a good thing for the club at the moment.

My only concern is the board. If The Rangers do come calling, will they hold firm and make sure we get the correct fee required for McInnes. Also will they get the next managerial appointment right if McInnes does leave.

Once again we show The Old Firm too much respect and they roll us over.

Personally my patience with McInnes trying to find out best starting XI and tactics to best utilize the squad that he has has now run very thin.

I think if The Rangers come calling, he may very well go. However I doubt they will come knocking, Dave King can crack all his piggy banks and I very much doubt they would even come close to the compensation needed to even talk to McInnes.

On a personal side you can see the appeal for McInnes, his family live outside of Glasgow, he has  a history with the club.

On the football side of things he would be making a huge mistake IMO if he leaves for The Rangers. Would he get the time to try and overcome Celtic?? I dont think so.

I think he would be off his rocker to even consider taking that job.

To be honest, I would say that compensation for McInnes must now sit around £1.5 Million, have Sevco even got that sort of cash to throw around??

Glad to see Storey score and he did take the goal well.
