Fans have been brilliant in they haven't run him out of town as yet but we still expect too much.

Notice the Whistleblower section on the SFA website has gone and no refs now explaining decisions.
-
Think you cannot appeal a straight red for handball. McNaughton was sent off at Ibrox and clearly never handled but was told can't appeal against wrong handball decision. Rules might have changed since then but doubt it with SFA!!

My brother pointed out the anomaly in the SPL fixtures. The whole thing is rigged so that the old firm play each other in equal games home and away. If that men an extra away game for the rest of us then who cares?
That about sums it up. Loads of changes this season to avoid old firm having massive games in lead up to international games.

Aberdeen don't even own Pittodrie, so buying the club doesn't get you the land.
Pittodrie is owned by a AAM - with minor shares to shareholders and Milne.
Pittodrie is owned by Talltray now and is rented back to AFC which is now a seperate company which does not own Pittodrie. The full debt is guarenteed against Pittodrie through Milne and if the bank call in the debt Pittodrie is then taken by Milne from Talltray.

You must be the MOST positive thinking Dons fan on the internet.
A total pessimist. My correct score prediction is 5-0 Celtic but still think we are capable!!
-
If Celtic get a goal quite early then we could be on end of thumping but longer it stays 0-0 the more frustrated the team and crowd will get and you never know on the break or from free kicks.

That tells us nothing.
Celtic and Rangers could have millions to spend, Hearts, a few thousand, and we could have 50p, with the rest having 1p.

Whilst we officially show a debt, Milne has agreed to cover it should the bank ever withdraw it's support - so are we really in debt?
Yes, since Milne will pay the debt but would then own Pittodrie.

Fucking hell where do y ustart with this goalkeeper.
he reminds me of Richard Kiel in the bond films. Big and lumbering but you do wonder how the hell he every gets hold of anything.
The first goal I stood with utter amazement (much like he did) as I watched the Killie striker bearing down on him, closer, closer, closer and finally just slots it in. Bossu did get a touch though which ill give him credit for but he just stood and watched. If im fair i am a shit goalie (ask Inter ma lamb or anyone I went to school with) but I do have my moments and I just dont understand why it didnt occur to him to close down the killie player and smother the ball. When it went in he didnt even look pissed off.
The second goal he made the decision to come for the cross then changed his mind. the ball takes a couple of deflections but ends up just inside the 6yard box and almost out for a corner. Does he come out and blast it away? does he come out and smother the ball? After all hes just stood there and has a head start? NO he stands there and with our defence posted missing the killie player comes in and blasts it under him. Again he just didnt look bothered.
The penalty? well im bemused why that was given so ill let him off with that
The 4th? As with the 4th he didnt come out to narrow the angle and worse he didnt deck the dons defender (diamond?) who let the ball once again bounce over his head and straight to the killie striker.
Apparently Severin was rugby tackling the forward. Richard Gordon spotted it and said surely a penalty before assistant stuck his flag up and gave it.

Indeed, but we're still having to sign players "because it never affected the budget"
Points to manager wasting his considerable budget elsewhere and overspending on high profile players on huge wages i.e. Lee Miller who was already on huge wage and got pay rise to persuade him to stay. One of highest wage bills and one of (if not the) smallest first team sqauds in the league = bad management of that budget.
-
That was what I was saying, but it sounds like there's something wrong at international level if they end up at Peterhead a year later.
Aye - Suprised any of our youngsters get call ups as most of the younger sides are run by old firm sympathisers who get job due to handful of games for one of gruesome twosome.
-
So which is the bigger problem, JC signing somebody due to their wage demands being very small, or that the manager of the 3rd biggest club in Scotland is having to work with pittance due to 10+ years of financial mis-management of the club?
He has by a margin the 4th highest wage budget in the country to work with.
-
or © shouldn't have been brought into the AFC youth setup full stop.
Nae sure i understand what you are saying. If deemed good enough to represent their country then must be something there but that something far too often turns out to be nothing and these players disappear.
But if "shouldn't have been brought into the AFC youth setup full stop" then huge problem with our scouting (which most seem to acknowledge anyway).
-
Most/all of these players are now playing in lower leagues (e.g. Peterhead, Montrose).
Thats the point. Either not good enough to be picked for International level or AFC not developing them very well.
-
We always seem to have players in international squads then they get released later on. In last year i can think of Bagshaw, Kelly, McVitie, Donald, Kiely and Strachan that we have binned. Something wrong somewhere.
-
Half the fans at Killie in 3rd round than we had at Ayr in 2nd round tells it's own story of our season. Fans disappearing at alarming rate. Crowd for Hibs at Pittodrie a week on Saturday could be scarily low.
-
Leighton knows he is shite, he was exasperated at him during pre-match against Vittesse Arnhem teaching how to come for a cross.
Makes the managers decision to play him again tonight even more ridiculous then!!
-
Not at all confident about winning ANY of the 5 games coming up at the moment.
-
Think almost everyone bar Calderwood (and Leighton) could see from limited games that Bossu was completely gash and a liability.
Robbie: I can haul Dons up the SPL - EE 8/10
in Aberdeen Football Club
Posted
Aye - also states in the article that "he would jump at the chance to return to Pittodrie and fire the Dons off the foot of the SPL" but yet have no quotes even slightly resembling that, just that he reckons he is good enough to play in the SPL and hardly likely to say he isn't when looking for new deal!!
